When I had seen SML first in the previews I didn't like him but now I feel he is really nice. Even though I love ML more, some part of me won't mind if FL takes easier road with the SML.

I think he is really impressed with the FL. He is in full awe with her smartness, her way of thinking, her attitude towards life. When he heard her saying that he is a good person, he was over the moon. But your 2nd point valid. He already has a bad past experience.
I am sure he also believes that FL is good fit for his family and himself. But then maybe 4th point is also true and that's why he will get slapped at the wedding.

Editing and acting are not exactly great. You can try Against the current, if you are okay with slow burn.

If you are already not fan of their acting i don't think you will like it here. FL switches weirdly between acting pitiful and giving cunning expressions. ML also over does acting cocky infront of people.
But I rarely find both leads acting lacking, so I think here the fault lies more in editing of the drama.

I used to think the same but even if her family was informed the grandpas would not have changed their mind. What they didn't expect that whole family to get killed because of their stubbornness. But even from the females pov they thought of it as a proud thing instead of calling it stubbornness.

Mariko is never gonna let Sota hear the end of his stalking LOL. If only there were more scenes of their interactions.
