In spite of all the family shenanigans, and the whinging princesses, I cannot stop thinking about this series-because…
I personally think ZLS is holding her own. No way is she being overshadowed especially when it comes to the comedy scenes. Her acting is so natural and brilliant. They are both doing a great job no one is overshadowing any one.
If my mother badmouthed me in public, I would definitely cry
The mother went too far, there is no excuse for this. At this rate CSS would die a spinster after that public degrading, who would want her or respect her. To say I wouldn't even let her in the Cheng family if she wasn't my daughter was so heartbreaking.
I know people are upset with the romance aspect, but hope you don't rate it solely on this. The acting has been phenomenal from both female leads they deserve more than us concentrating on the romance script.
Grandma so upset about the betrothal gifts, says we might not get another oblivious man for her lol......, surprising she didn't treat CSS better since she will get a lot of material stuff she loves from having a granddaughter.
She has been annoying, and I'm finding it hard to side with her. She only looks for the pros of her decisions…
A few points on this 1. CSS and her mum do not have a great relationship, most of the time from CSS's point of view her mum does not have her best interests at heart. So it's hard for her to listen to someone she does not trust. 2. She did actually hear what her mum said and decide all families have problems which is true. I mean I don't think she going to be in for an easy ride when she is LBY, I think it will be much scarier relationship with all the revenge, but because we know he is ML we will be routing for them, me included of course. 3. Our lives are not a script , we do not know who we should end up with. I know we know her script but taking her character has real she is kissing a few frogs b4 she meets her prince. Even her mum is a divorcee and her 3rd aunt was engage b4 marrying her uncle. This is just her journey of growth. 4. LY isn't a bad guy they really bonded when they spent so much time together and saw all that pain and suffering. And because she has been abused and has trauma , she doesn't really know what love is and right now she met this guy who makes her feel she is better than she ever thought she was, why would she listen to someone who puts her down all the time?
I think CSS's character is well written hopefully people can see the trauma surrounding her character to understand how she behaves to survive.
