Perfect change of pace show for me. Unserious fun! They did a great job making a manga/anime come to life. I could absolutely picture some manga panels in my head.
Sometimes things weren't said or discussed how I would have liked. But it was fun getting to know all the characters and I loved how the main couple were such crybabies together ❤️
First time I tried this I dropped it episode 1. But lately I've been looking for silly, fun shows and Viki was recommending it. So I gave it a new try and it hit the spot.

Zhang Wan Yi got to be even more love dovey than his recent stuff so I liked that!
The FL however... I'm not sure if it was the actress or director (*probably both*) but I felt she lacked subtlety. She was clever and demure during regular times but any time she was riled up she jumped to full on yelling. I felt there could have been a better way of laying out why she was fighting for justice with all her logic and evidence and escalate to yelling. When you jump right to yelling I dont blame people for being like "why is our sweet girl a harpy? I have done nothing to deserve this?!"
I hope that made sense.
Anywho, totally fine show but nothing fresh or unique to stand out.
Which episode did you get up to? I've been on ep. 20 for 6 weeks and haven't felt inclined to finish it
20 was where I started to get frustrated about where some things were going. But I feel like it got back on track around 25ish? Also I loved the 2nd CP
I thought Vengo Gao looked like he had fun and was relaxed making this. This is a solid, fun swashbuckling type adventure. It doesn't really get bogged down on side stories either. Everything had a purpose and made for a straightforward show.
Also if anyone knows what was the joke about "are you using it as an adjective or a verb"? on their wedding night.
Sex. She was asking about if he meant the night in general should be fine or if IT (*the sex*) would be fine. YS basically answered sex but didn't know that was what he was saying.
