I'm of the mind that under the umbrella of LGBTQ themed shows, there's BLs, and then there's queer shows that are representative of the real experience of the LGBTQ community. You can put all shows on a continuum stretching from one end to the other. Queer shows are more demanding to watch, because they go for realism and the world is a pretty messed up place. Surely people are smart enough to rate shows on more than their fluff level alone.

Yes you are trolling. You already had your answer, and you still continue to try to get a rise out of people. I'll stop feeding you now, bye.

Is Grace a guy or girl? The voice is really deep for a girl.

Title Star Struck
Once you understand the basic conflict the main characters have the show makes sense, if you miss that, the scenes might seem illogical like some viewers have complained.

Seo Han Joon thought Jo Yoo Jae liked him as a friend only and might see him as a burden, while after Han Joon confessed ,Jo Yoo Jae first thought Se Han Joon adored him as an idol, an object to admire, like the friends at school saw him. That is why Han Joon wouldn't let Yoo Jae close enough to help with his problems and why Yoo Jae threw away the chocolates for example, it showed that he rejected Han Joon's worship full admiration, not that he rejected Han Joon's love. You can see Yoo Jae's feelings in the way he looks at Han Joon from the beginning as well as in his jealousy that goes beyond friendship into the romantic kind of jealousy.

I never thought Noh and Phun would fall for each other so fast but i really like their almost kiss in the room.…
I agree about Aim. It looks like she has nearly no space to be her own person.

It's quite lovely, in the sense that you can feel the main couples emotions. Episode 2 was better than episode 1. It's rare to have a series where the main couple sustain an intense connection through out, that's my favorite thing, like in We Best Love and I Told Sunset About You. I'm hoping this remake will be paced well and continues punching you in the chest. I remember the original had an interesting atmosphere, but sometimes it was difficult to decipher the meaning /feeling behind the actions taken, this one is doing much better, I think.

Episode 2 - what was the epilogue about? I really missed the meaning of that one 🤔
Dong Hee keeps running from Hoo Tae. He ran to that space to study after longingly staring at Dong Hee through the mirror at home, and he ran again in the epilogue. It's his thing, he was beaten for being gay, and now he thinks he is somehow defective for being LGBTQ so he tries to keep his distance from Hoo Tae, even though he desperately wants him.

Partially clothed, against a table, through the surface of which he immediately after impales her with a sword. As far as I can recall.

Let's put nudity aside, the first 4 episodes is actually interesting and I'm looking forward to the remaining…
How is the third princes scene unnecessary? It shows he is an unbalanced unsafe man, not only when it comes to his subjects he murders, but his wife too. So the scene confirms to the viewer Queen Woo is right that she cannot marry him. Queen Woo's previous husband the King also had the reputation of being cruel, but the viewer is shown it's not for no reason and not towards his wife. The scene solidified the fact that the third prince is an unfit husband.

I don't understand this comment section, is this bad or not??? If it's rated r18 why is everyone mad because of…
At first you think the show is good, then you notice the production quality falls apart a little. The script tries to go hard, but they don't really elevate that either. The nudity is a bit off, as in a little comical because they didn't fully figure out the production details of all those scenes. The people complaining about the nudity are mostly just being prudish. It's an okay show but not great.

Sure. The show isn't especially empowering to women. The characters of the shaman and the other ruling queen were giving vibes of manipulative Jezebels, which is the caricature men like to make of women who have power. I didn't really get deep into that in my original comment. Well, if you were one of the women, you'd have to get in a line and fight for a chance to kill yourself, too many men around trying to do it too. lol.

You Said "i don't think i agree on the female agency and i always worry about our interpreting it that way though i understand wanting to give women agency." I said the shaman and the other queen, not Woo, that ruled her land were in control and had agency. I specifically talked about how little power other women in general had. I don't see how you would disagree exactly, but I'd be curious to hear.

1. The king and queen's love scene showed the intimate affectionate nature of their relationship.
2. The lesbian scene with the shaman and the queen's sister showcased how much power and agency there's in the hands of the female shaman who is a link between people and the powers of the universe. The shaman reads the signs but also shapes the world to her will and manipulates all the other powerful people. Sometimes for her own selfish pleasure. While women in general didn't have much room to maneuvre. Case in point, the queen's sister is plenty selfish, thinking of her own gain and pleasure. Interestingly it's unclear to what extent the sister is manipulated by the shaman in that intimate scene, and how interested is she in a sexual relationship with either the shaman or the king. She seems most interested in getting power and wealth through the king. Also, the scene points out there's always been non-heterosexuals.
3. The concubines caressing the king while the queen was present was an attempt to make it look like the king and the queen were not romantically important to each other so the queen would not be used in attempts to get the king do someone's bidding. It was a show for all the rumor spreaders at court.
4. The pleasure house, shows that sex is always on sale and used in power games people play.
5. The third prince raping his wife and then killing her shows how desperately vulnerable women's position as wife was. Women couldn't refuse such treatment by their husbands.
6. The other queen that was an actual ruler in control of her own life being serviced by a man showed that women are sexual on their own terms when no one else tells them what they are allowed to enjoy, just like the female shaman actually.
Did I miss a scene...

Just wow, what repressed people watch this show. The silliest parts, for me, have been the unrealistic horse riding close ups and the bad choreography in the sex scenes, not the actual presence of the sex scenes, the presence itself has been logical. The story the sex scenes tell below under spoiler tag.
