As expected, I'm not familiar with any of these works but I'm curious with the plots of Our Warm House and Kye…
Thank you for a wonderful reply! You can also search for the films on Youtube manually and see if these are unlocked in your region. Footprints of Military Service are available on Youtube, but without English subtitles. Wow! Such an interesting article. It is nice to have more information about a country that is mostly depicted…
Thank you for reading! There's one fact we have not mentioned in the text. In small NK villages, attending "cinema" is mostly obligatory, so, in a way, it can be perceived as a part of work-sleep-repeat cycle. The NK escapees often cited Shin's films as the best ones they have ever seen.
Thank you for this article! Actually I never thought about watching any NK drama or movie. Though I'm really interested…
Thank you for the comment! Please do check these out if you're interested in the country itself. The films provide a first-hand image of it, especially in terms of propaganda.
Ah yes, but this particular film was more of a co-production between NK and the West.
Very little information is known about Russian co-productions. The cooperation more went in such a way that Russians provided equipment and studios for NK productions (Shin used some of that help for his movies).
