Also I didn't watch 20th Century boys but read the manga (Big fan of the author Urasawa Naoki) you might find…
Thank you so much @BrightestStar for reading! I will definitely check out your recommendations :) As a matter of fact, I wanted to start Crisis drama a little while ago, but I couldn't find all the eps. I will search for it again as well as for 20th Century Boys manga :)
Thank you for a detailed comment, Sumi!Yeah, I have been thinking about 1Q84, too, but I don't remember it too…
Aww, thank you Sumi! No worries, MDL is my online refuge. I've experienced so much positivity here that I try to give it back at least through writing :)
PS I really have to go back to 1Q84 to investigate Aum correlations :)
Oh wow, you even wrote an article on this topic! Great job, very detailed and well explained work. Impressive…

Yeah, I have been thinking about 1Q84, too, but I don't remember it too well. It's just, while reading it for the first time, the depiction of a cult did not struck me as sth very similar to Aum. I think that Murakakmi did not want to make overt references to it in his trilogy (but it maybe have served as a source of inspiration).
Gosh, now I feel pressured about the second part! xD Just give me some time :)
Indeed, @pattan001. You're right. The problem with Aum is that many of its members are in denial or just can't…

Wow! Excellent article! I was a child at that time but I had learned the story. So, your article gets me. The…
Indeed, @pattan001. You're right. The problem with Aum is that many of its members are in denial or just can't comprehend that their leader did sth like that.
Thank you for an excellent look at how the subway attack influenced Japanese cinema, and for reminding me of the…
Thank you! Eureka is truly exceptional film! :)
I admit that I have not read/saw 20th Century Boys, so all the more thank you for recommending it! The synopsis sounds similar to Ryu Murakami's Coin Locker Babies.
BRUH. I enjoyed this article from start to finish. A great read. Please post more like this.
Thank you. There was already a discussion about a follow up in the lower section of the comments. If time permits, and if I happen to have confidence to do this, I will try to write it :)
