Thank you so much for a kind comment and your insight @lucy_lu!To be honest, the original draft of the article…
Thanks! I have to thoroughly think this through and read more before deciding on writing a follow up, but indeed, there is so much more to Aum in all aspects of Japanese culture :)
Thank you for creating awareness of the circumstances surrounding this tragic event. It should never be forgotten…
Thanks, @WandereR. That's true, this tragic event should not be forgotten. I hope that the industry will continue to make movies about it and/or reference it in visual arts.
The Author's Addendum: I'm sorry that descriptions under pictures got snapped with the main text. Everything looks good in the article editor, so sth must have malfunctioned with the code.
Thank you for this article and for all of your articles that share a different approach to Asian cinema! Really…

To be honest, the original draft of the article was much longer and I even thought about including a section on dramas, but I was afraid that I will be stretching my analysis and the readers' patience.
You're absolutely right about Bloody Monday, Trick, and Cold Case, but it's interesting to look at many popular dramas of the late 90s (Bayside Shakedown, GTO, Hero) in another way. Here's hoping that we can get an official online release of Mori's documentaries on streaming services. The first movie was a gripping watch to me.
We did not forget about it, just ran out of space to fit it in the text.
