Yes the way they protect each other in LoTDT, wow it’s powerful. I was impressed. It’s intense and amazing. I came here just for LXY, but I’m disappointed with the messy plot.

It’s so hard to find a drama where the main leads deeply love each other and protect one another no matter what. The kind of love that’s mad, unbreakable, and all-in. So far, Love of the Divine Tree is the only one that gave me that vibe. Ugh, I don’t even know what to watch anymore. Guess I’ll just wait for the new dramas dropping this July.

Every day I watch the teasers, but even by episode 27, they still haven’t reconciled. The FL is still doing her own thing. So how many episodes do they even spend protecting each other? 😂 I like enemies-to-lovers too, but at least let them face the evil world together or protect each other. I heard that due to lack of funding, this drama stopped filming. Various issues arise since it began filming on May 17 with Deng Wei only present at the booting ceremony. Is it true? He did everything right but the system failed him. A good actor with a bad team will always be held back. Deng Wei deserves better

Right?? Their teasers are doing the opposite of hyping us up. Instead of making me excited, they just make me more annoyed. Like seriously, another round of misunderstanding and zero trust? It’s getting old. There’s barely any relationship development at this point. Just frustration on loop. It’s starting to feel like they don’t want us to enjoy the drama 😂

The endless misunderstandings, the refusal to communicate… it’s beyond frustrating. We get it, they have secret missions. But does that mean they have to treat each other like complete strangers 20 episodes in?

I just want to see some actual relationship development. A hint of trust, a flicker of progress, anything that doesn’t feel like we’re stuck in episode 5 on repeat.

LOTDT has me in a chokehold 😭 The plot is intense, the pacing keeps you guessing, and the chemistry? Off the charts. Deng Wei as the ML is EVERYTHING, his expressions, his presence, his voice? I’m obsessed. And the FL matches him so well, strong, smart, and not just a damsel. I’m living for every second of this drama❤️‍🔥

I’ve already finished up to episode 15 and watched teasers until episode 21. The entire plot is just an endless loop of misunderstandings. It starts with one, then just as things begin to warm up, when they’re finally opening their hearts, another misunderstanding crashes everything down again. Even by episode 20, there’s still a major unresolved issue looming over them. The pacing? It’s pure emotional torture. It drags, it teases, it tests your patience to the limit.

And honestly? I’m completely against this type of storyline. I usually avoid dramas that revolve around constant miscommunication. But here I am stuck, because I already paid for Express VIP, and I’m a fan of LXY. So now I have no choice but to see it through till the end.

If you haven’t watched Love of the Divine Tree, do it for Deng Wei. His acting as the ML was phenomenal, so much emotion, so much silent sacrifice. He deserves way more main roles!

Deng Wei absolutely delivers in his role as Su Yishui. His acting is remarkable. he brings incredible depth and subtlety that immediately draws you in. Whether it’s the pain reflected in his eyes, the restraint in his gestures, or the emotional gravity he carries in each scene, Deng Wei makes Su Yishui feel heartbreakingly real. There’s no overacting, just a quiet, affecting intensity that makes every moment resonate.

He’s unbelievably talented like “scarily talented” and it’s surprising he hasn’t been cast more often as a male lead. He’s got the emotional range, the screen presence, and the nuanced skill to carry a drama head-on.

We need more dramas with him as the main lead. He definitely deserves more recognition and we deserve more of his brilliant performances.
