Just finished Shadow Love today and I loved it! The story was solid, the FL was badass, and Cheng Lei absolutely nailed it. As Prince Annan, he was so intimidating, I got goosebumps!
I donāt think I can keep watching because the female lead is just too weak, with zero character development.…
Yes I agree with you. Iām fine with a carefree (salted fish) type of female lead, as long as she and the male lead truly deserve each other and she doesnāt bring danger to him. But in this drama, the FL keeps putting the ML in danger. The MLās whole role seems to be constantly risking his life just to save her. Honestly, if it werenāt for her, the villains wouldāve been taken down by the ML a long time ago š¤£š¤£.
Note: Iāve never read the novel, but personally, I like it when the FL reciprocates the MLās sacrifices equally. Thatās what feels refreshing to watch.
Sima jiao is blinded by love n listens to this woman. Again she let feng qi kill a general which created too many…
I donāt think I can keep watching because the female lead is just too weak, with zero character development. Itās only the male lead who suffers. But I do love Arthur Chenās acting, heās truly impressive. Maybe Iāll continue just for Sima Jiao, because heās such a perfect green flag, yet he never gets the same kind of love and sacrifice in return. His devotion isnāt reciprocated at all.
Babe, I just canāt with dramas that have weak and dumb female leads. Like, thereās zero character development.…
Haha itās okay, we can have our own opinions based on our own taste. Just ignore those who criticize us. If you read reviews on Douban, itās even harsher. Reviewers there are more honest. If something isnāt good, theyāll say it straight, not just based on their favorite actor, popularity, or genre.
Haha i was jumped by die-hard fans in the discussion section just because i expressed my annoyance toward the…
Babe, I just canāt with dramas that have weak and dumb female leads. Like, thereās zero character development. I feel you, Iām the same. For example, right now I canāt even watch When Destiny Brings the Demon ācause the FL also has no growth at all.
Omg. Love of the Divine Tree is a masterpiece, emotional, addictive, and unforgettable. Deng Wei as Su Yishui…
I love how dynamic their love is and how fiercely they protect each other. Itās so refreshing to watch! Deng Wei looks absolutely majestic with his curly hair. I seriously canāt move on šš„yes i agree, the ending is satisfying as hellā¤ļøāš„ā
Can someone tell me a drama wr ml is too powerful n everyone around r shaky shaky in fear of him š?? Also leads…
Love of the divine tree. Please watch. It is insane š„ The relationship is so dynamic, both protect each other so powerfully it gives you goosebumps! Plus, Deng Wei as Su Yishui will steal your soul. šÆāØ
Got meh at Ep 18 for me as the FL still shows no sign of any character growth. Struggling to care or to continue.…
From the very start, FL is a total salted fish; carefree, unexpressive, barely contributing to anything. Meanwhile, ML is literally carrying the weight of the world: hunted, sealed, traumatized, and emotionally shattered, yet he still fights, protects, and patiently supports her. She forgets him, he consoles her; sheās in danger, he steps in; sheās weak, he bears the burden. Every emotional moment, every sacrifice, every heroic act: itās all him, while she floats along in her āvacation mode.ā The imbalance is insane. MLās growth, patience, and protection shine bright, but FLās lethargic personality and lack of initiative make the story feel unfairly stacked, like all the suffering belongs to him, and all the ease belongs to her.
On the 4th episode...I really love Fei Yu but FL is so dumb. It feels like a forced romance to me. The story is…
You can watch this drama, but if youāre into dynamic romance, itās probably not for you. The FL is super laid-back, kinda āsalted fish,ā and loves slacking off (thatās just her character). Meanwhile, every single growth moment, sacrifice, and challenge falls on the ML. The FL barely takes any initiative, which makes the whole thing feel unfair, and honestly, itās frustrating to watch him suffer so much while she just⦠exists. That said, I still enjoy watching it because the ML is just so badass.
Sima's smile is so attractive. I just can't see him losing his blood getting wounded n be in so much pain š„ŗ.…
Yes honestly sometimes I think that every growth moment, every sacrifice, every trial, ALL ML. FLās lack of initiative and lethargic personality make it feel like the drama is stacked unfairly in his favor, and honestly, itās frustrating to watch someone suffer THIS much while the other just⦠exists. Huhu poor SJ
Note: Iāve never read the novel, but personally, I like it when the FL reciprocates the MLās sacrifices equally. Thatās what feels refreshing to watch.
