Promising first episode. It's already been said that the brothers act more like a married couple LOL. Good to have a Japanese show to watch after finishing Sins of Kujo.
It was better than I expected with a darker tone. surprisingly we didn’t get much of Kujo’s backstory, maybe and hopefully in a 2nd season. also I could watch a whole new show based on Mibu. what a cool character!
I enjoyed this season but it didn't have the same impact as S1. Acting and fighting scenes were all top notch. I guess I wish the Rain character was better written, giving us more information earlier, like what his former coach revealed at the last episode. The first season also had more lighter moments to balance the darkness.
I love this show because it can not only entertain me, but also make me laugh and cry in the same episode. I hope Netflix can speed up seasons in the future with multiple season renewals.
Wow Ryoma is unrecognizable here compared to 10 Dance. Enjoying the series so far and wondering how they are going to expand the suspect list beyond the main 4.
I really enjoyed this series and didn' t feel the main couple was sidelined. The key themes of being openly honest about yourself and the impact on others was done with compassion. I will miss these characters.
I’m only about half way through the series but I’m really enjoying the different storylines and core friendship. I’m surprised Bi Zhi didn’t keep the Time Machine controller more secure. It’s like he’s tempting poor SBL to use it!
Impressed with the 2 main leads acting and chemistry, and really enjoyed the first 3/4. But the last quarter felt muddled. The last dance sequence was stellar, haven't enjoyed a ballroom dance sequence like that since Strictly Ballroom.
This was a compelling and easily bingeable watch. The plot was a bit overcrowded and tried to cover too much. However, I have to give big kudos to the performance of Narimiya Hiroshige as Masato. He delivered the chills with charisma and dominated his scenes. I will look out for him in the future!
I'm glad I finally got around to watching this series at its 10 year anniversary. Well worth it for the great acting and compelling story. I'm also a sucker for themes about revenge and "returning back home". Suddenly I'm hungry for the best omelette rice.
The whole concept of doing an autopsy on a friend is quite grizzly. I don't think that would happen in the west. A great series overall though I agree with others the ending seemed needlessly depressing.
