Yes it's good .. the first episode is kinda weak though but in 2nd episode his personality switches and its become really enjoyable.

I would never understand MDL rating haha the cringe shows are getting 8.5 meanwhile a good drama like this is less than 8. If anyone is hesitating this is a really good show so far deserves 8.5 imo. Its not a hardcore law drama i mean there arent any murder cases and there wont be any either i would guess if you are looking for that this is not it .. the cases are on civil law mostly but they have been very interesting and the drama focuses alot on their personal and work lives as well .. the best way i would explain this is like hospital playlist but with lawyers instead of doctors.

that's true i guess we will know today but with 12 episodes left i don't think he will have much of a role anymore .. its time to focus on the main villain .. the third person which i don't think is the dongxia queen.

The Marquis was an amazing character and the actor did an amazing job .. You know he's well written when even if he's the villain .. people are supporting him ..

I think its about time zhan hai figured out who his masters are and what there motives are especially the masked guy like seriously zhan bro are you really gonna trust the guy with the mask ... I wonder who is behind the mask ..

also I don't think the emperor has much involvement in this .. This emperor seems like the passive type .. he doesn't have much charisma like others have pointed out and is easily swayed by others .. i might be wrong here but i don't think the emperor is a major character in this series .

The MC needs to survive to do some romance .. bro is getting stabbed left and right lol
But to answer your question The romance is very minimal here ... Not the main focus of the show.

Ok as much i dislike Marquis .. i really want him and MC to join forces and take revenge on this eunuch Cao. This dude is way too crazy ..and i thought marquis was the worst one damn

Haha the marquis character is really well written .. Hes even fooling the viewers now.

Prisoner of beauty is an idol romance drama .. yes there is politics and war but the main focus is the romance .. i watched a bit of it and some of the politics used there is laughable lol meanwhile here the main focus is the politics and revenge. Yes the Ml is really smart and so are his enemies . This is probably gonna be the best show this year so yes definitely watch.

He was also in joy of life but I forgot him .. he was just a side character it's good to see his growth!

I have been discovering more and more about him over the past couple of weeks and I can say he's really charming ~ Even as a straight guy I think I'm falling for him lol jk
