it will be clear in the third part of the book. it showed a side of Lu Feng and a precursor to what's gonna happen later. a lot of would not make sense unless the audience understands the deep love they had for each other. not everything that happens later is love - it's revenge too but in all for me it actually comes down to their deep love for each other. maybe once you have seen all of it then coming back to these ep may make sense. i had seen the movie before and read the books recently so I am saying what I feel about them. yes, the assault didn't have any impact as it was never discussed in the book from Xiao Chen's point of view.

this actually made me ponder on those relationships where the girls keep going back to the abusive lover. in their series/book, it was knowing he is not well that made him go back to him. he was genuinely in love and love is forgiving (to what length depends on each person and is different for every person). Xiao Chen wanted to leave that incident behind and move forward. no one can stop him from doing it as it was between him and Lu Feng. is this romanticizing? No, cos this is one situation, there would be another situation where it is being romanticized, should someone care? no - it's a fiction. in reality people get more sensitive but ultimately who is one to judge when it's between those other two. one is free to choose when it's them in that situation.

that's being human. some choose wisely some not. idea is to learn and go forward. maturity is to know when not to engage (not commenting on you) but I can understand when one would like to have such kinda fun. 😉

i saw few parts of the 2nd part of movie to recall what I saw earlier and it is dark and so well filmed. I am hoping more angst more of harshness in the series. let them say what they want, I ll enjoy my series.

talking about the depth of characters - they clearly showed why ML was doing it, at first it was just an act. he didn't understand how can someone be so selfless or pure. he thought it's all fake and wanted to prove it. along the lines he felt it was not act but his genuine self and there starts the love story for him when it was already over for the other. one really can enjoy the scenes when they understand characters.

as per book Xiao Chen is 14 when they started. their age gap is 4 years. also the book says they look same even when they are 40.

i would not even say calling out author as its her story and she can write what she wants in a fiction. it's readers who get to choose whether to read or not.

hehe, yes minors. the cast is perfect. i can understand personal tastes but the actors are cast because of roles, why would the production choose ill fitting actors to ruin the characters and the production itself.

After the first time they were separated, younger bro was too protective of his brother. When Qin Lang got to know he not Yi Chen, he wanted to break up but Yi Chen asked him not to as Xiao Chen will get abandoned again.

looks like it. it's a fiction for god's sake. bad audience - them watching such shows are a disservice to all the makers who have put in such efforts.
