I've watched quite a few kdramas. I typically like stuff like 2521, Mr Queen, It's Okay to Not Be Okay, Start up. I don't like stuff like My Demon- rushed romances that are all about the aesthetics. I prefer dramas where the romance is built on deep connection.
Just checked out your profile and it seems you haven't seen much. I personally wouldn't even class Business Proposal…
that's true. I'm relatively new to watching kdramas. But Business Proposal and Mr Queen are the only 2 I've seen in the comedy genre, and that's why I mentioned business proposal, and like I said, it's nowhere near as funny as Mr Queen. I'll watch some of your recommendations. Thanks
I don't like that after Gu won returned in the last episode, no one cared to ask where he had been. Was he dead? Did he cease to exist? Was he in hell? Nothing. Both he and Do-hee just pretended like he had gone on an indefinite vacation. Also, he came back way too early in the episode. Didn't give me enough time to feel the impact of his death. And the way which he returned was so instant and easy. It felt like the sacrifice he made for Do-hee was cheapened by the fact that he returned so easily.
This drama is by no means perfect, but I enjoyed it overall. Yes, it had draggy moments and sometimes the comic…
I agree with you for the most part. Except, the comedy characters were never funny to me. Never. They were too many of them and they kept showing up so randomly and frequently, it was like they existed simply to add to the show's runtime and get the show up to 16 episodes. We had the workplace trio, the hang members, the secretaries, and the Austin-Justin groups. Too manyyyy. Also, I didn't really like the villains. Don't get me wrong, their acting performances were great. I just feel like they were all insane for no reason. We didn't get any backstory. It's like their only personality traits were insanity and bloodlust. They just felt so shallow.
I usually take ratings into consideration before watching any drama, but with this show, I disregarded the low ratings. I'm honestly so glad I did, what a beautiful show. Good comedy, good chemistry. I can't wait for the next episode
Something has always confused me about this show. Do Dojun and Hyeon Woo actually look identical? If so, why don't any of the other characters acknowledge this. None of Dojun's family or even his girlfriend mention that this random guy literally has the same face as their deceased loved one. And if they actually don't, why don't the writers make an effort to clarify this?
I watched the entire 1st episode without understanding their inner thoughts. I didn't like that, but it was still really fun. i really wanna know what she was thinking in the last scene in the room, though
Lots of plot holes and poorly written storylines. The theme of failing marriage and Savin their marriage should've been treated more realistically. Their interactions always felt like fiction. but, good performances from the leads. Overall, an entertaining experience.
This is what I personally believe... The tattoo transferred during their near death experience in the water. Well,…
Omggg. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Like what was the point of that entire episode, and both of them contemplating death, just for everything to work out. It just really belittles the sacrifices they wanted to make for each other.
After finishing this show, I have to say that Do-hee really wasn't a well-written character. She felt like a plot device most times. A well-rounded character typically has a social circle. Do Do-hee's isolation is simply unrealistic. Even loners in fiction usually have at least one close confidant.
Compare her to other strong female leads (e.g., Yoon Se-ri from Crash Landing on You), who, despite being independent, have friendships and meaningful interactions outside of their romantic interest.
She rarely engages in activities outside of work and her relationship with the male lead. Most well-rounded characters have hobbies, pastimes, or interests that add depth—hers seem nonexistent. Her story revolves around the romance, with little personal growth outside of it. I will say, though, that Kim You Jung's acting performance was by far the best one in the show. Also, this show didnt need to be more than 12 episodes. If they got rid of all the unnecessary cartoonish characters, the show would be a lot shorter, but more focused and better all round. Literally none of them were actually funny anyway.
Can someone please explain to me how it's possible to fall from the top of a skyscraper, and into the Han River. Was the skyscraper built over the Han River? Isn't there any solid ground at the base of the structure. It just doesn't make sense. It feels like lazy writing to bring back the villian everyone thinks is dead. But he's obviously not dead, cos I guess that skyscraper that was clearly shown to be surrounded by other buildings, is actually just by the River. I mean, how do people walk into a building that on water?
