Currently with what we have been shown, Jared may not have any romantic feeling for Uno. And whatever much I have read about the show in Phillipino media, its positioned as a queer coming of age story and Uno-Farrah are the romantic duo.

Main stream representation of queer content (not BL) is still far and few between. Over all acceptance in society can only be gauged when there are actionabel changes, laws and support frame work. That's also still far and few between. But there is progress and I am not an expert on the matter. 😀.

I think so too. Also may be it has to do with how the story started. For example in Golden Blood the Vampire's body stopped aging at the age when they became a vampire and we never see them age so in the viewer's mind the aging has stopped no matter what their actual age is. In this series, we have already seen the grandpa and now the soul swapped to the younger body of his grandson. Hence the viewer's are finding it difficult to unsee that old body image. Don't know. I am on the fence about it. But my theory is, Ye Hai will be shown as an old soul too, may be grand pa's first love (the boy who got him Cicadas) or his wife. Ze Fang is gone. Imo the makers will justify the romance by showing that Ye Hai is also an old soul and its OK to be in love. 🤭🫣Or not!!!

On top of it with the boy his grand son liked and was talking about at his last moments. Or may that's Ok cause the grand pa will now full fill grandson's wish!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁

So Ye Hai is grand pa's first love (the boy who got him Cicadas) or his wife reincarnated. Ze Fang is gone, not coming back. We will at the end find out that these two were old souls and its OK to be in love with your past lovers in a new body. The name also supports this theory. The promise of the soul, so someone's soul promises someone that they will come back. 😁
I am dropping the show for now, as I cannot digest this romance. But once it finishes, I will come back to check my theory.

First episode in, I am intrigued but can I really take a romantic relationship between a grandson and grandfather. Sure they are not biologically connected. But they still are somehow, no? Don't know. Also the 60+ is packaged in a 20+ body. I am truly confused as to how to feel about this. I will continue for now. Let's see.

I loved it. It's a zombie movie with good CGI and a somewhat unpredictable ending. I didn't feel bored a second. Good direction, acting, action, art design ... full package.

I was smiling ear to ear the whole episode and of course at some point my cheeks went hot 🫣🫣🫣🤭! They are acing it.

Yes, it makes everything quite predictable. However, to have queer representation on main stream media is a big deal. Specially in the context of Philiipines. So its ground breaking in many ways 🙃.

I often go back to parts of it. I liked it a lot. My only wish was if they would express the love between them a little more! Alas!

Read a few articles about the series and in all of them it has not been positioned as a romance but a queer coming of age show, where love is messy and it includes all its forms. Uno-Farrah are the romantic couple and everyone else experiences various forms of love including self-love. So there is no Jared-Uno or Jared-Patrick. Patrick is not even a main character, not sure why MDL listed it as one!
