The show has let down many of us with its super predictable and safe story line. It wanted to be all (coming of age, romance, family drama) and ended up being a disappointment.

Tbh, I have no interest in Uno-Farrah love story. Not because I wanted Uno-Jared story. Because even that is not done well. A very one dimensional story line for them to make me root for them. What a waste!

Ep 7 teaser is looking damn depressing for Jared. Loosing interest tbh.

The romance is so well done in this series. You want root for them, cry with them and be happy with them. I pretty sure the ending will not be tragic because they both had their fair share of tragedy, but its well done.

I don't know how I feel about Washizawa. But I am happy to see our boy Dai!

Ya, atp it does appear like this. Whatever I have read on Philippine media, its positioned as a coming of age drama for LGBTQ+ youth. However it appears it is the same for the straight character Uno. And its not even done that well. I would watch a hard core homophobe or confused teen become an ally if it is done well. But this ... I was expecting more and was let down.

I truly hope that the makers spare Jared the embarrassment. While watching I was saying, please don't, please don't, please don't 😭. Heart break is messy irl, however not necessarily I want to watch it unfold in real time on screen for my favorite character.

The show is suffering from a bit of identity crisis. It is neither a pure coming of age story, nor a romance, nor a sports drama. It is trying to do everything and unfortunately missing the balancing mark. Its not necessary that a show has to choose one category but then the balancing or prioritizing becomes key. I was expecting more tbh.

Unfortunately the show has become too predictable to be enjoyable anymore. And it irks me to see Jared's heart break. The ending of ep 6 was not a cliff hanger imo as I am very sure how Uno will react. And at this point if they give a Jared Ethan ending it will appear as a consolation prize. They both deserve better. All in all the show could have done so much more if it only dared to do so.
