I know the entire drama is based on a fantastical idea, still the earth quake and the reveal was too simplistic. I was hoping for a more dramatic/clever reveal of HY plot! What a let down.
the scene I was referring to at the beginning of my comment was when yunjaes parents overheard yuna (yunjaes younger…
I have so much to say about your comment. First, thank you for articulating this so well. Exactly what I was thinking and wanted to say. Imo the whole point was not whether a straight person becomes homosexual or if it is a BL!!! It was about accepting or not accepting change, for example FL could have had an accident that completely changed her looks!!! And I am very much OK with showing, that not everyone can accept change of gigantic scale. Not everything always works out! I also said last week that if the ML shows character growth in the 11th epiosde then that is not believable or even enough. Met with the criticism, how on earth you want a straight person to become Gay (god forbid). I thought the point was to show growth and acceptance of change or show that this was too big of a change to accept. But the makers didn't choose any line and now on the last episode they will show character growth, acceptance etc etc or not. And the way JE/JH change was treated as if it was a contageous disease! So I think we gave the makers too much credit and had unrealistic expectations from the drama. It was not that deep and was meant to be for FUN!!
Finally a period political thriller with a same-sex couple on the lead. I am enjoying this very much and also the fact that it is not romance heavy explicitly yet romantic. Ep 3 and 4 set the bar very high!
It just feels like the writers don't know what they're trying to say with this story... It should be obvious that…
ATP it appears the makers are trying to say the opposite. Upto 10 episodes the protagonist was unable to express any sign of love beyond gender. In the last 2 episodes he will magically change, trust in them and the FL will remain as a female her entire life!! It beats me why they would do this. But may be another ending could be, the ML and FL believes in them and then the FL switches back and forth and it doesn't matter! 😁🙃. I would be OK with that.
I have a question if someone could kindly answer, would be grateful. Question in comment under spoiler tag.
Has romance been shown between Akane and Naoki? I have seen till ep 4, where Akane said to herself that she is in love with Naoki. So I want to know what happnens after. Don't need spoiler about the entire story but just this part. THANK YOU!
What I loved about this was that, coming to terms with ones identity was the main focus and not romance. Romance was a sub-plot. Like in life some of us can live our truths and some cannot. The show depicts that. Its never fully sweet but bitter-sweet.
