While waiting for episode 6, lets dive into the feeling of "hesitation" while loving someone. As Pran was saying, you are afraid to feel more, you want to jump in but afraid of heartbreak, you hesitate but also want to seize the moment. I bet many of us have experienced this. Such a magical feeling it is!! While watching I was reminded of this and no matter what the outsome is it is so worth it to feel this "hesitation" of love. Ah!
After watching the trailers of 2022 of GMMTV I got depressed the only good drama of their production going to…
I also felt like most of them to have similar plots: romance with a little bit of tweeking here and there. Lets see. We could be surprised. Fingers crossed.
The eighth episode reminded me of something that happened at my school. It was an all girls school with a co-ed…
Thank you for sharing this. I also went to an all girl school and there were many who were experiementing and/or exploring their sexualities. We never got a written manual but the prejudice was real. There is better discussion around the subject now but still a very long way to acceptance.
In traditional BLs they rarely tackle the subject of prejudice and hate that same-sex couples face. I guess BL by definition is all rosy. But I am very happy that KieKoi has addressed it, though in a much milder form still a step forward.
Exactly. This may not be in the same league as other BLs when it comes to heaviness of drama but this is one of…
First, let me thank you for all the hard work that you are putting in. I hope your work flourishes. And about Okano-sensei, my understanding is that he is prejudiced yet not too far gone on the bigotry scale. He has hope of redemption :) With exposure and counselling he probably could see the other's perpectives. He did go to have Ramen with them and did finally accept that he is prejudiced.
This episode was very important in showing prejudice. Albeit in a much milder way but still I am happy that the makers showed the preconceptions a same-sex couple faces in general in many societies. The reaction of the freinds were just gold. They were like, dude which century do you belong to!!! Update! And Ida, Ah! Where to start. His expressions, his protectiveness, his care all so unique. I just love his character. And also the actor for portraying such undertoned and restrained performance yet expressing every bit of emotion. I just love this show for being light and serious all at the same time. For vieweres who think that this show is too childish, I say I am sorry that you are not being able to enjoy this pure expression of joy. As for me, I am enjoying this to the fullest.
I missed Evangeline on the list. Maybe because she is a Mando Pop artist first and then an OST singer. In any case thank you for bringing the behind the scene actors to the lime light.
This immediately reminded me of the final scene in the movie "Night Flight". The closeted gang leader finally…
I have been wanting to watch Night Flight for some time now. But I cannot take bullying. It's a trigger for me. So I will probably not be able to watch it any time soon but may be someday.
I think this refers to episode 6? Not sure tho. Currently we are at episode 7 and this week episode 8 will air.…
Agreed. No point comparing this with any other show. This is a silly story of bunch of highschoolers who are high on adrenalin but low on experience. They are awkward and goofy. And thats what I like about the show. I relate to it by reliving my high school days. This show for me, is a breath of fresh air.
