Hello All! Watched upto episode 2. I am hooked!! It is giving me the vibe of the movie called "The East". I am not sure how GMM marketed the series, but I hope not just as a "BL". I hope they have identified it as a narration of the complex societies we live in, where justice is an illusion and a lot of us suffer from the repressed anger of the inability to bring change. Where some takes up violence and some activism and some violent activism! I get it, that romance is a big part of it, but hopefully not "the" central narrative.
Is there a special episode coming up in January? I think I saw some announcement somewhere while browsing and now cannot find anymore. If someone knows, please share.
I want to everyone's thoughts on what you think is the problem between their parents... Thinking about this is…
I think there was a relationship or a misunderstanding about possible intentions. It has to be super personal. My guess, I have not read the novel and also do not want to know what happend there. I want to enjoy the show and it's suspenses :)
gosh need to let this out bc this show is not perfect, there is weakness here and there1) wai matters. i am maybe…
First of all, thank you for your post. The show is so popular now and I am a fan too but like any other shows, this one also has weaker points. And I feel it is healthy to have that conversation too. About Wai, I also never was super annoyed with him. I can understand his possessiveness, his anger. But what he did was terrible, I doubt any friend would ever do that, no matter how angry. But it needed to be properly redeemed. I hope they do but I also doubt if they will. The gun and related event, as you and many have pointed out was random. Another thing which bothered me is the absense of the parents. Pat got shot, the parents would show up immediately. As far as I understood it was almost 2 days with the events. Then finally we got to see the parents. May be they came earlier and was not shown or something else. But it would have been nicer if they did. I like the show for many reasons, its a BL stereo type breaker. Healthy relationship of equals, open discussion about sexuality and breaking stereotypes like top and bottom (disgusting), wife and husband etc. But for me, the most important reason is how the show makes me feel. It keeps a smile on my face, my heart is full and I wish all of them pure happiness and growth.
Can we talk about Pran and Pat’s discussion of their sexualities and Pa making fun of the typical BL troupe…
Please put a spoiler tag. And I completely agree with you. I also made a comment on the same line. They are doing a great job of dealing with such steoreotypes but in a super fun way so it does not sound like preachy.
Forever greatful for addressing this "wife" & "Husband" stereotype. I hope this becomes a trend. No need to measure a same-sex couple fromtthe perspective of a heterosexual relationship!! Kudos!!!
Honestly they did Ji Tae dirty , that was just like nah for me. Because he was like the highlight throughout the…
Agree. I understand they were trying to run the point home that wrongful conviction can have terrible consequences. Yet I do not think he should have been killed off. He was the highlight for me.
He might have killed himself or he might have thought there maybe be more people like him who gets falsely accused…
I agree. He did not kill himself. Because in the last shot he was still standing. But when the lawyer got the call I was afraid that he must have jumped or something. I think he let go of his hopelessness.
Did anyone else notice that towards the end he no longer uses his asthma inhaler. It’s like he stopped using…
I did notice that and it was a loose end for me. Asthma is something one cannit will or smoke their way out of. If one needs inhaler, they need it for life.
i kinda wanna watch this. its popular and a lot of people say its good. but i dont wanna be disappointed or anything...
Well in life, one has to kiss many frogs to find the prince/princess. So please advance bravely and kiss away :) You shall be rewarded ;) (meaning this is the prince/princess)
