Thank you for posting this. The sketching scene is one of my most favourite (if not the most) scenes of the series. Specially the vulnerability of Dan, was a rare treat. The final painting was mind blowing, I had goosebumps. And again that was my most favourite scene from the last episode. Dan - Yok and their relationship was THE relationship for me in the series. I wished they had more screen time. But within what they had, they made it the most memorable. I can go on and on ... thank you!
So what happened to Black in the end? Wish the brothers had more moments together. Also, Gram for me was the most…
I also felt Black-White were not given enough screen time or interactions. Their relationship forms the base of this series, so in my opinion, they needed more exploration and careful handling. Dan-Yok is the couple for me. Gram was a total let down. White and Sean was OK for me. I was not mesmerized by them. But TBH I feel bad that we did not get enough of Black. Specially in the last episode they just hurried over the two brotjers interaction and gave more love scenes of W&S. For me that was a let down. But I loved the series otherwise. 9.5/10 🙂🙃.
I will be looking out for First and Fluke from now on. Together, separate, in a romance or thriller ... whatever they decide to do. I hope they get good scripts and can grow with them.
I kinda like this sharp feeling of a moment right now. Because right now we can still make suggestions and in…
Well said. All the main characters here are multi toned, shades of black, grey and white. Very real and inspiring annoyance and love at the same time :)
On the night before the final episode, I keep on thinking about some dialogues from one of my all time favourite movies "Rang de Basanti" (Indian movie). In one of the last sequences a protagonist says (rough translation): life can be lived in two ways, one you let what is going on around you go on uninterrupted and second, you take responsibility and try make changes in whatever way you can. The movie talked about corruption, politics, law, lawlessness and radical activism etc. etc. The ending of the movie was realistic and it didn't claim to have solved all the problems. It presented the struggle for justice as a continuous process. The series "Not Me" has talked about similar issues in a different context. It resonated with many around the world as a large number of people are living in such opressive conditions. However the series ends tomorrow my take out again will be, the struggle for justice is a continuous process. We have to take responsibilities and make positive contribution towards the making of a just society. I really felt like saying these before the series ends. May all the boys live and find growth, peace in future. May our societies become more just and each individual can reach their highest potential.
See I agree with all your points and I still absolutely love Not Me, and I think it's a masterpiece! And I think…
Everything I wanted and came to say ... you just said. Thank you! I have never seen any drama or movie that I can call perfect. Even Monalisa does not have eye brows 😀 I always go by how a creative piece makes me feel and "Not Me" spoke to me in so many ways that I am greateful that it exists.

If the romance weren't censored/toned down, the relationship development could've helped the drama where it staggers…
I liked the term you used "but it doesn't hold your hand". True. The makers respected the intelligence of the audience and left clues to be pieced together. They do not spoon feed. I just wished they did not show so much of flasbacks of the same scenes. Nonetheless I enjoyed much.
I liked it with all it's shortcomings. It could have been wrapped in 8 episodes instead of 10. That would have made it crisp. The story has plot holes but I think they are aiming for a second season, hence left many things to be resolved (I am guessing though). I was not unhappy with how things ended. They still have work to do, to take out the bad guys. Thats OK for me. But Ichiro got his closure, he came face to face with his trauma, fear and anger. He triumphed over it. I enjoyed that scene a lot. The prime minister and his son will face repurcussions of their actions. The family of 3 is happy and heading out for a vacation. Left me content. I enjoy complex characters and all three were such. Through their many inhibitations they came closer and formed the bond they have. As for the romantic angle for the main leads, it can very well develop into that in future. For now I tremendously enjoyed the progression of the relationship between Ichiro and Shiro. Bromance, BL whatever it may be termed as, they love and care for eachother. They will work and grow together. The extra shots at the end of each episode and their loving banter ... I enjoyed much. Special mention for the OSTs and back ground score. I LOVED them. Octpath just debuted in November, 2021. They are fresh, green and has a long way to go. Loved their songs. Final shout out to the tattoo on Shiro's back. Yum 😋 😀😃🙂!!
I am finding the acting of the leads to be awkward and in general the logics to be all over the place. Why is Mr. N always angry, why would Mr. A walk straight into the bathroom of a person to take measurement etc. etc. 🙃 I can look beyond logics but still I expected better.
Do you all think they'll release a movie version of this (like every other BL lately) and give us a few extra…
The director's cut for "life-love on the line" was so much better than the original series, in my opinion that is. The last 10 minutes just sealed the deal for me. I cried and laughed and did what not.
