This was so much better than many of the comments made it out to be. Yes, it's jumbled, but so are Ha Neul's memories. They're all jumbled up in his mind, which had been protecting him from guilt which was never his to carry. Sae Byeok's enduring love was beautiful to witness. From the beginning, he desired Ha Neul's presence and love above all things and, in the end, that's what brought Ha Neul fully back to himself-- the pain, the loving connection and the clarity.
is this about the package the brother received? that's the only part I failed to understand. what was in it?
The ML bought a new spinner for his brother's shop, because he realized that the one his brother had was broken. Even as he was dying, he still thought to do something selfless for his brother. That's what eventually broke his brother. He realized just how much his brother loved him and that he was gone.
Hopefully, it's all worth it, in the end. Both actors are adorable and seem to be doing a good job. It's too bad that the director didn't trust the actors' acting and chemistry to do the job and, instead, dropped a ton load of cartoon-like sound effects seemingly every other second.
This isn't for me, just way too many cutesy sound effects. Clearly, a lot of viewers are enjoying the series, but I turned it off around minute 2 after trying to watch the most recent episode.
WORTH watching for the cute lads and story, however typical. Overall the direction is not boring, which already…
"I still have not seen any Thai BL series that gets violence and gangs portrayed anywhere close to reality."
Have you watched BANGKOK BOYS? ___
"[...] the lads are depicted to be eunuchs or belonging to a sect that practices extreme abstinence because even to the very end of the series nothing happens between them, which is not believable at all."
I had the same issue with MY SCHOOL PRESIDENT. It grew increasingly evident that they were avoiding kissing and it was primarily an issue for the actors, instead of the characters. Or, maybe it was due to a Thai TV rating thing. Either way, by the umpteenth time they devised a reason not to kiss, I'd grown tired of rolling my eyes.
I liked School Trip very much and wanted to watch more JBL. Any reccomendations? It doesn't need to have the same…
Adding to the list:
• Depth of Field [2025] • My Class Diary [2021] • Kimi to Nara Koi wo Shite Mite mo [2023] • Love is Better the Second Time Around [2024] • Our Youth [2024] • Love on the Line (Movie - Director's Cut) [2024]
For Love on the Line, you need to watch the director's cut, as there's an additional 10 minutes at the end that's essential-- turns it into a masterpiece, in my opinion (an opinion that is shared by many). Without it, the movie collapses.
As someone quite introverted as well, I understand why he didn't smile as much as Jinhwan. What I don't really…
I think Min Jun's character is neurodivergent. Because he has a difficult time of understanding and bonding with others, he often misunderstands their intentions. He's also deeply insecure, so he rarely imagines good intentions. Luckily, someone with endless patience and a naturally sunny disposition fell deeply in love with him.
You just about summed up my feelings, except for the overly fem nature of Khemjira. I don't mind men who are feminine, but I do mind individuals are are utterly useless and perpetually damsels in distress. Give me a bloody break! As a woman, it grates on my nerves that women are often depicted in this manner. We can be just as emotionally and mentally strong as any man and, even with relatively weaker muscles, we can also be physically strong and capable. Khem being saddled with the wilting lily personality that was as interesting as white bread was both boring and annoying. I didn't care about the love story between the main leads-- I just wanted the story, itself, to be resolved.
Eventually, I resorted to watching the show on 1.5 or 1.75 speed, just to get through it, because for some godawful reason, the director decided that every single scene had to be played out sloooooooooooowly. The main leads talked slowly, walked slowly, pined slowly. 🥱😴 I don't know if it was a deliberate attempt to drag the runtime out or if it was a ridiculous ploy to ramp up tension. What I do know is my eyes kept rolling back into my head from boredom.
There was a good story trapped in there, overall, though; and, yes, the second couple were much more interesting. At least their scenes together had zing!
😂 Your comment genuinely made me laugh. Here's the VenomGoblin whining about no zombies showing up, so I was convinced that somehow, despite the show's summary, the series was actually about a zombie outbreak, but your comment just drops in that the series, is not, in fact, about zombies.
What in the world was VenomGoblin going on about!?
Also, the cinematography was STELLAR.
Great job, all around, everyone.

I'm not sure if I'm willing to put myself through reading the novels. 😅

• We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd [9.5]
