This historical kdrama is on par with 'Jewel in the palace'. Good script with typical gender power struggle, interesting insight on pottery making and yearning love of the MLs. I really think that casting could have done better with the M & F leads. Made it through all episodes mainly because of Kim Bum, my sweet crush!
I'm only at Ep5 and wondering if I should continue... I find the FL annoyingly childish and full of herself! XZ should not be in this B rated drama, what a waste of talent! Guess the story is better in anime with fantasy beasts etc. Oh well, I'll let it run for a couple more episodes...
What a disappointing part 2! Lacked the gripping thrill of part 1! Too much emphasis on endless conflict between the police & prosecutors, crimes took a back seat and the story slowly crumbled.
Watch this if you want to refresh from lengthy and same-o same-o kdramas! A little bit of this and a little bit of that in the plot makes this 20 episode drama entertaining!
This is one of the better crime thrillers of kdramas! Highlights political corruption at the highest level with a believable plot and great casting! ML's portrayal as a non empathetic prosecutor was great! Where is season 2?
How do I describe this historical kdrama produced almost 20 years ago! Tried to fix the square screen but it didn't go away, was not impressed with the non-syncing fight scene in the first episode! Would have moved on but for the appearance of the adorable young actress who played the child FL. Glad I did because this is a really great script, enjoyed the culinary and palace insights of the Chosun dynasty. The FL's adoptive parents were a pain with their overly exaggerated silliness! FL and ML were too calm for my nerves! But many episodes were addictive. It' a must watch for fans of historical kdramas!
Not a lovey dovey, sappy love story as title might imply. Finally a more mature cast in a good script balancing true emotions in a gangland atmosphere. FL was annoying in first few episodes and ML's hairstyle and aloofness drove me crazy until he smiled or fight,
Been searching & watching Lee Joon Gi kdramas as I'm fascinated with his versatility in different roles not to mention his adorable good looks! Love his mesmerizing, sensual eyes, hope he never 'westernizes' them like other actors, some with obvious botched procedures that make their eyes different. This drama has a slow start of flashbacks with cute kiddos and gets addictively exciting! LJG is outstanding, his portrayal of Kyum/Yong going through life's misfortunes, misunderstandings, poverty, beaten up, loss of family, etc to finally getting his revenge! Great Story, awesome cast, a must watch for LJG fans. Can't believe this drama was produced in 2007 as boyish LJG looks as handsome as he does today!
I'm not a vampire fan but viewed this drama because of ML who has the most dreamy eyes! Pleasantly surprised by the great script, costumes, sets and music that lighten the mood that would otherwise have me cringing at every bite (lol).
Didn't expect much of this drama but surprisingly it turned out to be a very entertaining silly, lightly thrilling romcom! Kudos for ML & FL's wardrobe, they never wore same outfit throughout 16 episodes!
Why do they have to show the gross surgeries? All the blood gushing & incisions, really! Story seems OK but I'm not sure if I'll make it to the last ep.
I'm at the 17th ep and wondering if I should continue watching after reading the comments? So far Ling Yi is perfect for this role although her pairing with Geng Xin lacks chemistry. Beginning looks exciting so far but I can detect the familiar scheming, trickery, etc coming on. The childish princess is a pain in the neck! 67 eps is too long and the story always gets diluted & boring. Should I quit or jump to ep 66 & 67?
