I really, really liked this family kdrama! Each character well portrayed by each actor! KDY was perfect as main ML, so adorable! Truly heart warming, a little silly without the typical screaming, idiotic skits! Interesting script in half hour episodes with a nice balance of not too much and not to little emotional plots! OTY's best performance was in Vincenzo! This is another slow moving somewhat cop drama that lacks thrills and suspense to hold anyone's attention. There's a good story in it but did not show well because of a lackluster cast.
Full rush of tech graphics, high flying fantasy battles, every diety and sect imaginable, awesome sets, outstanding costumes and a complicated story lost in this mind boggling production that has everything except the kitchen sink! Many may like it, I endured all 40 episodes as background noise, as I've just subscribed to IQIYI! Background music could have been better orchestrated! Lots of pretty faces!
Watched this kdrama couple of years ago and found it entertaining. Watched it again and found several missed scenes because of speedy subtitles. Just finished a third watch and conclude that it has a great Bondish plot but the silliness and character exaggeration messed the theme of the drama. The idiot cop & paralegal was too much for me! The king's eunuch gives comic relief to this otherwise so so palace romance. KYJ adorable in the young FL role but find the adult FL expressionless, boring with crazy eyes! Interesting script though, better if condensed to 16 episodes.
