I usually don’t read reviews before a drama is finished, even though people love sticking them up. But I have to agree with yours, especially in regards to not forming an opinion after only two or three episodes or just hating on a drama because it doesn’t meet your particular needs. Those folks in the comment section really need to understand that this drama is not a romcom or anything in that sense. I guess they don’t get the fact that this is a very deep, very heavy, emotionally, layered realistic drama about psychological trauma.

P.S. Nice pfp. Amongst the many with Palestinian flags in them that I ignore yours is a breath of fresh air. Though personally, I tried to avoid anything politically inclined on this platform.

Your friend was 100% correct he has been for the most part just existing. With her, he has some faith and some hope plus love but a big part of him is dead yes. Whether that ever revives or not, I don’t know. But that solely depends on him excepting help, actively seeking treatment and sticking to it.

Until he says something, she can’t possibly get into his head. She knew that he didn't remember, but she now doesn’t know that he regained his memory. Maybe he needs time to process it before letting her know I don’t know, but in the upcoming previews, he already tells JL’s brother which has the obvious reaction from the hot headed kid. But I do wish he told her or at least Mr. L first.

My damn heart hurts for him, but he should do exactly what Mr. L said; stop bottling it up and tell someone. Speak about it. This guy is just making things worse for himself. Tell her; she will understand especially now that she has an idea of how bad PTSD can be.

I have a lot of health conditions in general that take up my every day, but in this conditions case I know how to either avoid or face what I must. Thank you for caring. ♥️

I wish their happy moments together lasted longer before his memory returned. I like the non-suffering LZ a lot more because it doesn’t hurt my heart. On a positive note, I am very proud of CZY for the way he’s handling this character. I mean it is very hard to portray someone with PTSD and survivors guilt.

Oh, OK thank you for that. I actually re-watched episode one and realized I didn’t even see that portion of the episode maybe by accident somehow I fast-forward it and didn’t realize it because I remember what happened before that portion where she meets his father and then after afterwards when she spots him in the street, picking up a stray dog, but that little portion for some reason is totally absent for my memory.

I’m starting to mentally prepare myself. I mean they’re going to have moments of joy and happiness too with their friends but then of course they’re going to have some very very hard times. Thus far, I’ve actually been pretty good with everything and my personal PTSD has not been triggered, which is a plus because mine is a completely different form than his, but I fear that if the end will be anywhere in the negative, I may have to be very careful.

Very well written. I love their chemistry and relationship too. It finally crescendo exactly when it was supposed to. Something I want to add in regards to meeting his father for the first time after all of the events it wasn’t that the father didn’t care. I think he knew to an extent, but he wanted to give him space plus LZ wasn’t really opening up. I think LZ is his own worst enemy right now in terms of getting proper treatment. SR can only do so much and now that he remembers exactly what happened. Same goes for Mr. Luo; he’s such an amazing friend and has done so much for him; but at the end of the day, it’s all up to LZ. It’s going to double down on his survivors guilt and he keeps putting himself in situations which makes his condition worse. It makes my heart hurt for him a lot. Instead of staying away from those triggers, he’s dancing with the devil essentially. Playing with fire is going to burn and I don’t want him to follow in JL‘s footsteps some other way. But if he keeps going the way he’s going and we know he’s going to return to eastern country because it’s in the opening and closing credits and trailers Whatever situations arise there are only going to make things worse.

I guess I’ll have to watch that and I think we didn’t know that they were father and son at the time. So maybe that’s why I didn’t make the connection. Also, the fact that why is he the unit above hers when he lives in a different city altogether.

But doesn’t dad live in a different city? What are the chances of him coming to fix her pipe in that city? I have to rewatch a little bit of that I suppose because I definitely didn’t put two and two together. Maybe because there are too many characters. Thank you though.

Exactly. In their line of work, it’s inevitable that someone gets hurt or loses their life. And everyone around them that is close to them like family and friends are the ones that ultimately suffer. That’s what makes it so heartbreaking.

Wow. Breathe girl breathe. It will be OK hopefully. I’m enjoying 17 so far I haven’t gotten to 18 but I know things are going to get real again in 18 and I do sincerely hope that SR helps LZ with his own healing as well.

OK so question for 17 there was a flashback of both SR and LZ’s dad meeting each other somewhere along the way, but we never saw that. Usually the flashbacks are of things we have seen, but I don’t recall that one. Did I miss it somewhere? Can someone clarify, please?
