Well, because trust is something earned and who’s to say that she’s not lying through her teeth. So he’s being cautious because he doesn’t want his strength and what not to be discovered, but he did absolutely nothing to harm her. In fact while being incognito he was helping her the entire way starting with saving her life. He didn’t need to do any of that, but he did. He couldn’t trust that she wouldn’t if she found out the truth about who he really was blab it to everyone else. I call her a bitch because she’s so cold to someone who is very warm to her. There’s no hidden agenda. She’s going to be afraid that he will start scheming on her, but why he’s caught five years max to live if they don’t find the anecdote. It’s just common sense talking. I also think that she probably never felt love before and whichever character be at the frontier check growing up or the one who was the consort to the crazy prince. People probably doubt it on her, but she herself never felt love and I think that’s maybe her journey here is to understand what love is for him. I just wish she wasn’t so ruthless toward him all the time.
Understandable but anyone with eyes can see that he gained nothing from helping her. It’s not like he got merits or anything of that nature. In fact, he did it all incognito.
So do I think she’s been acting like such a bitch and not even taking into account how many times even with all the disguises he had actually saved her. I really hope that in episode 13 he tells her about everything else to really get that brain of hers on the right track. Because obviously they get married in the engagement is not called off.

We also don’t know what the wife of that other prince looks like obviously he didn’t recognize her face so they are different. He’s just recognizing the little things along the way that are very similar to the woman that never loved him, but he had an unrequited apparently serious obsession for.

From all of the clips that I have seen, he returns after four years and detoxifying his poison (they reunite), and he fakes his death; in order to do that. But she does give birth to their son in the meantime.

I’m not watching that and I just dropped key to the Phoenix heart because it wasn’t working for me either. This one I want to see what happens once they get married and how she finally starts to feel different because obviously she falls for him.
I tried a few episodes and it’s not for me. Has nothing to do with the age difference, but just feels like you get dropped in to the middle of the story and have to run to catch up to understand stuff and just too fast paced. But those of you who are enjoying it hope you continue to.
