Actually, it is not a special episode because the director mentioned that when they filming this drama, they already decided to make it with a happy ending. But of course the money hungry MangoTV cut that happy ending part out and make it as additional episode since they want to earn more money from MangoTV members.
Nevertheless, I will be foreverrr grateful to the "The Sleepless Princess" team for ended this drama with a happy ending despite the director himself mentioned that he preferred the ending in episode 35 because to him, "it is a realistic ending"! Obviously not! That is known as an annoying open ending! When I'm watching the ending in episode 35, I'm like "what the heck is that?!" O_o
I really hate it when I invested my time in a drama and at the end, it was an open ending! Grrr! Give me a proper closure, sad or happy doesn't matter, as long it has definite ending. Unless they already planned for the season 2. An open ending make me feel like want to push down whoever suggested that from the edge of the highest cliff =_=
I hope Zheng Ye Cheng and Hu Yi Xuan will reunite again in another romance drama with a good plot and sensible ending. I prefer historical romance rather than modern but if the drama's script is good than modern drama is okay too.
Cheng Yi spitting blood when he heard the main female lead will become his sister-in-law cracks me up. Seriously, main lead spitting blood after hearing a shocking news is kind of usual in Chinese historical dramaXD
So if they adapted it exactly the same it will have a sad ending.

And please limit the second male lead or second female lead involvement (if there is any second male /female lead) in the main couple romance plot.
I'm really tired watching romance drama where the main male lead is a cold/jerk guy while the second male lead is a pitiful/selfless knight in the shining armor and yet, the main female lead will get together with the main male lead at the end without the sensible development whether in main male lead character or main leads romance plot.
I don't mind if the main male lead character is cold towards the main female lead at first but the drama must show me the reason why the main male lead and main female lead should be together at the end. Don't just shove them together at the end to the audience just because they are main leads.
