I do like watching him more in his non idol drama projects but it has nothing to do with his acting. I just happened to prefer the plot more. And for some reason, when it's not idol drama, when a character should be untidy, they actually look untidy. There's an authenticity in it that's so attractive to me. Unlike in idol dramas where they already battled in war but still look moderately to really clean. 😅 While I have my reservations against AYTO regarding its writing, I love how ZWY was able to pull CXZ off. Especially the funny side of CXZ which is a rarity in his acting portfolio. xD I'll also have you know Cang Xuan is a rarity in ZWY's portfolio in terms of playing a character having multiple partners in a series. 😅

He won 4 acting awards for Awakening Age and 3 for The Bond. And then 3 other special awards. I have yet to watch The Bond but I know he did great in Awakening Age as that's the 1st series of him I've watched. I'm not sure where I've seen it before but out of 10 nominations he was a part of in his career, he won 9 of them. I'm also not familiar with their awards system but if it is true he won 9 out of 10 (considering none of those nominated works of him were idol dramas save for LYF), I guess people do recognize his talent. I hope he will continue to hone his skills and be recognized for it.

I just hope Xueji stands up for herself more firmly and still be graceful (which I think she is capable of) about it. She is my fave character aside from CXZ currently, and like you, I hope she breaks Ziyu's heart (reasonably) at least once before accepting him.

Same. While I had problems with its writing, I still root for the people behind this whole production. Although much older, I want to see ZWY with Ni Ni. Even if it's not romance. May take time for me to watch another WCR but that's just because of my priorities. But I'll prolly eat my words once drama with Hong Yi is out. 😅

I watched the same Happy Camp episode after seeing him in Awakening Age. 😂 I honestly like him in his previous dramas better though. But that has more to do with the plots than his acting. 😅

Saw him on Awakening Age in 2021 and got rabbit holed into his other dramas. 😂 I thought I was just going to enjoy some history and looking back into lessons I learned at school. But no. 😂
