Good morning, btw. How are you today? On tiktok everyone is hating DYX and taking how is he red flag as... I know…
Honestly speaking, instead of disliking DYX, I was frustrated with how his arc was written (I actually have a problem with the writing of PM as a whole). They never gave him a break from the problems and most of the time, he was in a particular situation because of other people. Granted, he could have chosen to not be a part of any of it considering he's supposedly smart, but there's only so much he can do to save himself given he lives at a time when his social status (top scholar yes, but still poor) barely does him any good. SH and most of the Li women are actually walking conundrums that every other character that isn't a Li had to walk on eggshells when near them. It's also obvious that they're highlighting CA that a supposedly intelligent character somehow is dumb when next to a merchant. By no means DYX is a very likeable character but compared to the rest of them, he's not all that bad. At the very least, the moment he fell for SH, all his actions have been mostly consistent.
I'd have dropped it ages ago (as far as the push and pull of KN and CA) but I just couldn't considering I started watching it for a particular actor who didn't turn up until ep19. 🙃 And since I'm halfway through, I guess I'll watch the rest of it. 😂
I’ve also decided not watch it until their arc is complete and I’m assured they are harmonious because I logged…
For some reason, despite me disliking CHY's role in Princess Royal, I like his character there better. His childlike behavior here is cute though (and I mean the visual look of it and not the character's actual behavior in the series cause it's also unlikeable). 😂 And since it's obvious he gets the girl here (at least the one he likes), it's a plus so I'm staying. As for LYQ, his character in The Double is despicable but he nailed it so I was really hoping to watch more of him here. 😅 He's primarily the reason I started watching PM so while I feel like dropping it, I'm not going to. Yet.
Logged in just to say give SH & DYX a break. 😂 Also, I ain't watching eps16-17 and would wait for more episodes cause it's the first time I'm watching CHY in a non villain main role and they just had to give him a domestic villain plot. I refuse to watch it until episodes of them fixing this arc has been released. 😂 To think I also just watched it for Liang Yong Qi and I still haven't seen him. 🙃
I'm just so happy DYX finally found another costume drama role that really fits his vibe after playing Han Shuo in TROTAR. And his chem with YSX, is just ❤️ like in Moonlight. This hasn't even ended airing but I wish they'd pair up for a 3rd. 😂
Finished watching 3 episodes and I am craving for more. Too bad that works come first or I would stay in front…
First time watching her too. Like I said, she isn't bad (I'm still okay with her, now at ep14). xD I'm hoping it continues to be a good one for me too. Especially after AYTO (the headache, I am sorry 😅).
I plan to watch this drama this weeked. A bit discouraged by the low rating, but would still give it a try. Until…
I started yesterday and I'm now on ep9. FL's acting isn't bad like what I've been reading here. Not the best, but not bad. And at the very least I also haven't seen the eps where her character drastically changes to everyone's dismay so my stance may still change. But so far, it is an enjoyable watch (for me). Plot wise up to where I am, it is more stable than AYTO.
I couldn't have written it better than this. ❤️ While I love ZWY, and laughed at some of his comedic scenes, I did feel he was still trying to feel his way around the genre. Not at all a bad thing as he is also quite vocal about honing his craft. And we should admire anyone who is willing to learn. As for WCR, it's the first time I watched her and while it isn't a very good first impression, I'm not beyond praising her for some of the scenes which she gave justice to (amnesia arc, I am looking at you). There's always a chance to improve and I'm looking forward to that day when I can watch her again with her acting skills refined. My final rating for this is 8.5 with .5 being an additional point for ZWY's acting and my love for Xueji. 😅
I agree with you. Once they dragged out the second half, even when they reconciled, they were different. Even…
They could've used those episodes they leisurely wasted on we-do-not-speak-about-it-arc to politics and how to defeat the enemy instead. That way, the romance between leads in the end wouldn't feel forced or rushed. But, sadly...
I'd have dropped it ages ago (as far as the push and pull of KN and CA) but I just couldn't considering I started watching it for a particular actor who didn't turn up until ep19. 🙃 And since I'm halfway through, I guess I'll watch the rest of it. 😂
