Is she some kind of magnet for terrible people? It's the third episode, and we already got 4 absolutely horrible people as her bestfriend/ex-boyfriends/kouhai.
To be honest, I prefer the previous seasons. In terms of the songs & performances, previous seasons are better

This is another show though. And this show is trying to teach young people, it's not a competition between experienced rappers. I agree with you that the level is not as good, but this is not really a surprise considering the concepts of the two shows.
Aaaargh. I hate that feeling. I though I wasn't gonna be crazy about a drama anymore, and I learned to control myself. It has been years since I have gone crazy because of waiting, but here I am. 1AM before an exam, finishing ep 6, after waiting for midnight to have it. T^T
This drama is too good. I'm super annoyed that I don't have all the episode rigth now. I'm just going craaaaaaazy.
The first episode is really cute and funny. I was afraid that there would be too much lookism and not enough comedy, but they are not taking it seriously at all. x)

There has been an article that Kwon YuRi got maliciously edited. She actually was for another girl, but the other teachers wanted Lee JiWon, so she accepted at the end.
But the show made it seems like she pushed Lee JiWon, by editing well.
Because we already knew about all the relationships between all the characters, everything felt less "messy" so we could actually see a lot more of each characters. What are they thinking, how they are living, etc...

But from my memories, I felt like it's the same problem that a lot of LA have, even though it's not an LA : pacing. It feels like a story that should have been told in a longer time have been told in a 1h30 movie.
I would need to re-watch the movie to be sure, 'cause it's been a while ^^
I wasn't convinced by the first episode AT ALL. Even the second was ... ?
But after that, I kind of understood what they wanted to do with this, and fell in love. I'm now really enjoying each episode. I love that the teacher is not really giving lessons for the sake of it, but doing wtf he wants, and the students just kind of follow him and learn through it.
The synopsis is doing him a lot more respect than he deserves. He's really doing only what he wants, just because that's his way of doing. He's not trying to change the life of his students or anything. He's not a robot of course, you can tell he's getting attached to the cast, but it's still not his character to give lessons, or solves problems.
And that's why I love it now, because I understood that the drama wasn't gonna change his ways, and makes him do amazing speeches and all.
He's just a crazy guy. And the heroine, at first, was the typical sidekick in a school drama. But now I love her as much as him, because again, they won't change her. She doesn't mistrust him anymore, but she's still here to stop his crazy antics and is here for her students. She's not the sidekick who follows the hero without doing anything the second she understands that he's a good guy.
And I'm surprised by they chemistry. At first it was only comedic, but the out-of-nowhere moments where he's firting with her (he's not really flirting though... or is it?), or fighting like a couple, makes my heart skip a beat without willing (following laugher of course, 'cause he's crazy, I repeat).
I'm sold ! It's so much fun after a few episodes !

I don't read the novel so I'm not sure, but him getting concubine would be very unlikely.
He's in love, and doesn't seems the type to do that, but more important, the beloved Princess is marrying down, so for the man to get a concubine would be an insult to the royal family. It would be an extremely stupid thing to do, politicaly.
Maybe the stupid mother, who doesn't know anything would try to force some stuff, but it would never actually go till the end. Lin Qian or his father would stop it.
Except if they want some problem with the royal family.

He's not my favorite character, but in the same type the lead of Handsome Siblings is pretty bright, too.

Such good acting, and the directing makes everything so dark and cruel. They don't try to make it easy for the viewer, but that's a good thing.
