On From Me to You Mar 30, 2023
The first episodes were bad, to be honest, but it gets better and better, to become really fun.

A nice little show!

For the people interested: the show continues the story after the anime. The end of season 2 is episode 7 of the drama.

The first episode was kind of weird, but the rest was amazing !!!

The characters are just so endearing, and I loved all the relationships formed during this show. The lovers, the friends, or even the relationship between the main trio.

The thing that I loved the most is still the same as what I thought in the first episode: the way the writers handled Issei's handicap.

This drama is about a deaf and mute main character, but it doesn't revolve around it. It's not even one of the main points. You can see it a lot, of course, because everybody signs or write to him, but except for a few scenes where they talk about his "handicap" or when the heroine studies, it's not talked about a lot.
They could have had almost the exact story with a hearing main lead, and the drama wouldn't have changed much. But they still chose to have a deaf and mute main lead. AND I LOVE IT.

I do love shows that talk about "handicaps" and how they can be a problem in a relationship because it is real and open discussion about handicaps (like Silent). But it's SO NICE to have a drama where the life of the character doesn't revolve around his handicap. Of course, Issei's life needs to revolve around it in a way, because he needs to adapt to everything all the time, but his personality, job, relationships, and his trials in life are not always linked to it.

He is so gentle and generous, but he is also egocentric, an idiot and doesn't know when to stop. And the main problems that come to him throughout the drama are created by his personality, and not by his handicap.

I don't why I love it so much, but that's the main reason.

On My Beautiful Man Season 2 Mar 1, 2023
(it's long but no spoiler)
Amazing second season. I love to see such obvious character development from both of them. One of the problem I had with season one is that Hira didn't really had a development, Kiyoi did "all the work". (I know that Hira wasn't useless or anything, just that he didn't really change from high school to the beginning of their relationship). But I love that this season, the light is on Hira, because Kiyoi already did almost all his development in season 1. (though he had some work to do)

Something I always found a little negative about this drama are actually a lot (not all, of course) of the fellow viewers, always talk a lot about the "toxicity" of the relationship.
And... I don't think I fully agree with this.
Of course, if it was me, Kiyoi would be a very toxic person. I don't even think I would even be friend (his season 1 self) with him. Tbh, Hira would be the same, I don't think I could really interact with someone that does not treat me as a human being.
But that's not about "me". It's about the both of them. I don't think it's a type of drama or book where you're supposed to identify with the protagonists. They're way too extreme for that.

They're BOTH super narcissist and egoist, but they found each other. Fell in love, and are happy dating.
Yes, their relationship is weird, and it would not work healthily for anybody but them. But that's the whole point. It's THEIR story. Not the story of the viewers/readers, with one of the character.

I think it is a very good thing that the internet is teaching people to be careful of red flags, and to make people think about their own relationship. Is it toxic? Am I happy? Is he/she really good to me? Am I good really good to them?
All those questions are really good. But there is one down side I get from this : the pressure to have a perfect clean couple.

Of course, that is not the point of the people trying to teach about toxicity, but at some point it became like a manual. Not about thinking about your couple and if we are happy, but about thinking if we check all of the green flag boxes.

But the thing is that every body has different green flag, and different red flag. Different relationship, and different partners. If it does not work for you, it may for others. Even if you do not understand it, and you find it very wrong.
Putting your ideals as the template of a good relationship and forcing it on others is another form of violence.

(I am not talking about those dramas that put violent, derogatory and manipulative protagonist in front of their romantic interest, and make it up as a "romantic" situation)(here, it is said again and again that they are weird, creepy, egoist, and not a very good person, I don't think it is "romantized". As in, people are not gonna watch this drama and think that they want someone exactly as Kiyoi or Hira because they are the perfect boyfriend.. They are not.)

People who find it toxic can, of course, as it is only MY opinion ! :)

Nothing is clearly said but : 1.- Sumire has an unrequited love for Kenta. But Kenta seems in love with Kiyo.…
I don't think there's an anime for this.

There's a manga though.

Can anyone answer,1. Sumire liked Kenta but left the place because she wanted to be with sumire? And she also…
Nothing is clearly said but :

1.
- Sumire has an unrequited love for Kenta. But Kenta seems in love with Kiyo. Kiyo is not in love with anybody.
- Sumire & Kiyo wanted to become a Maiko after meeting Momoko. Though for Kiyo, she wasn't that passionate about it, and it was more because she didn't want Sumire to be alone.

2.
Azusa and the professor are in love with each other. And the bar guy has unrequited feelings for Azusa, and he hides them. But Ryoko knew about it.

A very Japanese-like movie and I love those. Not a lot of plot, but pure human interaction after human interaction.

All the actors and their characters are wonderful, and it is a feel-good movie without any melodrama. It is mature, and the subjects are dark, but the movie itself is very gentle.

also. when will we ever see a drama with an accurate portrayal of did? when will we ever see a drama that doesn't…
Yep, not a "real" DID (though I read that DID doesn't really exists so... ^^'). It's just the closest thing I have of a not wtf representation in dramas.

There's also Kill Me, Heal Me where some of the personalities are not violent, and some are. But he's not portrayed as a "bad " guy. Though this drama is not realistic at all.

I think It's Okay That's Love does a pretty good job of portraying a character who created another personality, and where he has episodes where he lives through him. And he's not portrayed as violent to others, only to himself.

Can someone explain the cabinet with tape on? I did not get that part.
It was the door to his room from the corridor. He put tape on the inside so that if someone came from outside, he would know it because the tape would be destroyed. But it wasn't. That means that nobody came inside the room. The person who messed up his stuff was already inside before he had gone to the shower, and was still inside with him.

Tbh, the last episode was great, and I understood a lot about the parts of the drama I didn't like. That it was on purpose.
But even if I understand it doesn't change the fact that it made most of the drama pretty annoying to watch, so even if when I finish, I think that everything is pretty clever... I still just had a meh experience during ep 2/3 and 4, which is more than half of the drama.

Still worth watching for Seto Koji and Kiyohara Kaya!

This story is really cute, they're all communicating in a healthy way, and trying to solve problems together. The story is pretty simple but because all the characters are super charming, it works well.

Can you tell me is it more a drama for young adults with great chemistry like 2521 or for teenagers like At a…
It's kind of a mix? Because there's two stories in one.
The present one is cute and sweet, and the past one is melancholic.
