For some reason I fell in love with Andy Lau in this movie; I always found him a good actor but before he hadn't really compelled me. I used this movie for last year's "A Phone Booth" prompt of MDL Watch Challenge and since then I still associate it with those phone booth scenes, along with the rainy scenery, and Leslie Cheung's magnetic melancholy.
Can you please tell me, where did you read the complete novel ?
I haven't read the novel yet. What I posted is the announcement from a publisher that they've aquired the rights to release it in English translation, in physical copies. Hopefully before 2026!! 😅
I have no idea about the novel etc., but just from the pictures, they give me a mother and her son vibe!
Well we don't know their characters' age gap though. And if this drama is really slice of life, taking place through many years of the fl's life as I imagine it, it would make sense! 🤷♀️
