I loved your article! ❤Sansheng, Wangchuan Wu Shang, Seven Unfortunate Lifetimes and To Be A Virtuous Wife caught my interest. Their synopsis sounds amazing ! Added The Seventh Generation (2022) into my list 😍
“Family is not always by blood. It is by heart.” — Soumen Das
A simple yet heartwarming story. The acting was great. As expected from a veteran actor, Sung Dong Il. I loved the kid playing Seung-Yi . She was so adorable. 🤍 What a talented kid. She is young but able to convey sadness and abandonment feelings in the movie excellently. Watching the relationship between this kid and her 'kidnapper' will certainly tugged at your heart . I cried buckets in the last 10 minutes. Recommended.
"It was on the day when the sun disappeared that I saw the light for the first time."
The movie name befitted the story indeed. The storyline was interesting and insightful. Last Sunrise shows us what would happened if the sun disappeared on earth . Everything goes dark and bleak. No more solar energy that provide human electricity. Temperature will drop and keep on dropping lower. Plants and animals will die. All electronic devices that we heavily depended on for every day ,every single minute in our life became useless.
The thought if that, what I saw in this movie will happen in reality scared me... It made me so thankful for the present of sun that we often take for granted. I always love night time and welcoming the dark that comes with it but once I saw this movie, I start to appreciate day light and sun more lol. Overall I like and enjoyed this movie alot. 8.5/10.
' Cheers to all of you, who are the strongest, the toughest, the most splendid and the most praiseworthy in the world and who are making their own miracle every day by overcoming many obstacles in life. ' - WTCB
When we're feeling down, it would be nice right to hear someone said these kinda words of encouragement to us. It made us feel we are being love, balm our battered heart and help us regain our willpower to face life again. But if you got no one to say that to you, say it to yourself . Say it every day. Say it until you become strong again. Because no one in this world can ever love you more than yourself. You are a fighter since the beginning and no one can take that fighting spirit from you.
My review of When The Camellia Blooms :
- I rated this 8/10 as high as my level of enjoyment while watching it. Wish I could rate it higher but unfortunately I did not loved this drama, I just liked it. But I can understand why this was rated 8.5
- I think this drama was too lengthy. There were times I wish this drama would end sooner. Maybe16 episodes would have been better.
- Watching WTCB was like watching a 50 episodes long family drama. There were real life issues incorporated into this drama that were potrayed convincingly. It made me see the world with different perspectives . Family issues aside ,we got also these gossip monger aunties in the neighborhood that their main job is to judge how Dongbaek live her life to add the spice and provide humorous element to the show. You will not expect to love these aunties by the end of the show though lol.
- Hwang Yong Shik stoles my heart in this. Anyone knows where you can get a man like him in rl coz I want one 😁 I doubt a man like him exists in this world lol. He was adorably genuine, compassionate ,caring and such a dorky guy. There are this expression he always made whenever he become determine to do some task where his eyes got bigger with one eyebrow lifted higher than the other . Funny moments.
- Few things annoyed me in this drama. 1st was Kang Jung Yeol. I hated this guy's gut. Unfortunately ,they are many men like KJY in rl. He was so selfish. When he and Dongbaek were still in a relationship, he treated her like garbage and only realized what he did wrong after he met her back 6 years later. 2nd was Yong Shik's mother. She was a pretentious and two-faced woman. At first she befriends Dongbaek because they're in the same shoes. They became bestfriend , united against the world that was harshest to single mothers like them. But when Yong Shik started to have feeling for Dongbaek and pursuing her , she start treating Dongbaek like shit. How can she be so cruel to Dongbaek and Pil Gu when she knew firsthand how hurts it is living in the world full of prejudice against single mothers. She was too annoying from the middle of the show till the end.
- Thriller mystery element in this drama was okay. I can guess who is the real killer by the first few episodes. Bad people usually hide their true selves by wearing nice personality.
I was thinking of giving this a 9/10 just for that finale alone . The acting, the feels are all on points. But as much as I loved the show, I rated it 8.5 as high as my level of enjoyment while watching it. If I to rate on the acting only, I would give this a solid 10. Flawless acting from the main leads to all minor characters. Shin Ha Kyun's performance deserved a standing ovation .Never a moment in his scenes he was out of his character. He is Lee Dong Shik inside and out. Same as Yeo Jin Goo, even he being paired with a veteran actor, his acting was on par with SHK. I loved the cute bromance we saw when they were together in many scenes. In the first half of the show, it keep me guessing who the evil in the story and it turned out not everything as what it seems to be. No people a solid saint, and no people a solid evil. BE indeed was one great thriller drama of this year. Recommended for every mystery thriller drama lover out there.
Just 6/10. Unfortunately I did'nt enjoyed the movie as much as I hope it to be. Too much talking going on here and way too noisy for my liking. SS failed to invoke my feelings in most of its scenes despite it efforts to do so. I guess when you talk too much, it gets boring quickly and you craved for that specific quiet moment in between the scene where you can absorb what happened and feel what you supposed to feel . The storyline also nothing to write home about . What I liked was a good visual and acting of main characters only. Side characters acting here were too cringy and so bad .. Yes I felt grumpy here because I wasted 2.8GB of my data downloading this mediocre movie.
Captivating and addicting storyline. Impressive acting from all the cast .I believed it aint easy to act in midst of green screen but they did it splendidly. Loved the counters friendship they had a great chemistry together. Beautiful and pleasing OST. I laughed alot, cried few times. My heart broken and healed multiple times while watching it. Although I wish there are few things the show should do differently ( ehemm Jeong Gu ehemm) but I rated it 10/10 that was as high as my level of enjoyment while watching the show. This show would be among my favourite drama of 2021. Definitely recommended!
Maybe I am the only one here that dont so much like this show while all other viewers seem to loved the show so much and gave this so many high praises *sigh*.
To be honest, this show bored me. Probably I would have dropped it at ep 4 if I have'nt downloaded all the episodes yet. I have so many issues with this show. I was expecting the show would give us a clear backstory/origin of how the virus? /sorcery? spreading its wing as that was the main cause why they're trapped in their home building. Post watching, I still dont know what to call this thing that made them turned into monster.. *sigh* Really just what made people contracted the disease in the first place? They just called it a curse caused by desires. Are not we all human have desires in us? But what made the human to-be monster was chosen in the first place? They did'nt give explanation about that at all.
I wasnt curious at all about the deep backstory of each characters pre pandemic because they're least related to the setting they currently in. I was not so fond of drama with so many flashbacks like this one. I just want to know more about their survival post pandemic and why people turned into monster. Alot of times the monsters just dropped out of nowhere with unknown history which I was so curious of. Other than that there were just too many unnecessary characters here to be care for and didnt so much added anything to make the story better. All the complaints aside, what I like from this drama was a top notch cinematography, good CGI and OSTs. I guess this show just not for me. I felt relief to finally be freed from this show and was so thankful for its shorter episode number.
1) Great cinematography 2) Lee Rang and Lee Yeon relationship 3) Lee Rang and the kid scenes. 4) Yu Ri and Lee Rang relationship. The actress is so beautiful. 5) CGI was great especially gumiho effects 6) The OST also not bad
Minus 4 points :
1)Cringy, over the top romance with non existence chemistry between leads 2)They killed my favorite character! How could the main couple looked so happy reuniting just after his death when the reason he died just so they can resumed their romance story T.T (I consoled myself by thinking that this just shows us that the greatest love is a familial love ) 3)I can't stand FL's outfits and her acting also not convincing. 4) Average storyline. Multiple times I got bored with the story because it was so boring. Nothing new and exceptional.
What is with the rating? 7.9 didnt do this show a justice.. :( Since this season aired, it became one of my happy pills , I wish more people watch this show.. Love the casts. I dont have any favourite member as I love them all the same. They are perfect together ♥
