10/10! The best show I've watched this year. I'm so happy I watch this show. Exceptional acting of all the actors and actresses. The script was witty and entertaining . The cinematography is a top notch. TFP also has great plotline. 40 episodes guys? Not boring at all. Watch it and you won't ever regret starting this show.
1) Chemistry between main leads is the BOMB. You can feel how intense it was when RattDa stares at each other. Especially the way Ratt looking at Da. Oh how I wish Dada is me haha. I'm having crush with Film Thanapat damn. Never watched his lakorns before and in NK I realize he is a great actor and very good looking too. Will be following him after this :D Same goes with Natt. She acted two roles here and did great at acting as two people which have a very distinct personality. I ship this couple. Hope they will be paired with each other again in the future.
2) I love how smart and sensible the male lead is in the lakorn. Because seeing the dumb male lead was such a turn off :P
3) The storyline was addicting . I'm the type who love watching makjang drama. Can never get tired of it. NK is one of the example of makjang lakorn done right. It was engaging, with the right pace and not draggy at all. 23 episodes are just nice.
4) I really love the first 18 episodes I would give 10/10 for those episodes only. The last 5 episode were good too but I'm quite dissappointing seeing how less our main couple's screentime together. I want to watch them acting lovey dovey longer at least in the finale but I'm left dissapointed. Nevertheless I love the lakorn.
5) I can never reasoned with Doctor Goson reason for staying with Dee despite all the bad things her wife has done. Just for the sake of love and feeling debtful toward Dee??? His reasoning were all so wrong and twisted. Jeezzz.
6) I love the father -son duo, Ratt and his dad. It was so refreshing to see such as great father-son relationship like what shown in this lakorn. Ratt's father also smart and insightful like his son. He was always there for him and supported him through high and low with actions.
7) NK has a great and beautiful OST. I'm so in love with Never Let Go song by Arunpong Chaiwinit ❤.❤
Highly recommended for those who loved Sood Sai Pan and Khun Mae Suam Roy. You might love it like me :)
I'd say the ending was'nt satisfactory enough . Viewer can think of million possibilities of what will happened to our main couple after the ending scene :p
9/10 because. HYUN BIN ( Yes, I'm biased). The work of my fav writer's piece ( I know I can rely on her when it comes to creating good drama ).Brilliant and addicting storyline. Exceptional directing and cinematography. Minus one for that nonsense legend story of Fatima :(
I fully enjoyed watching this show until the last 2 eps happened. However,for me, the ending wasnt that bad. It's kinda open ending. Still, it could have been better. These are what I love from the show . The storyline. It's engaging and successfully keep me glued till the end which was such a pleasant surprise . The acting of our main leads also good. First time I watch Johnny Huang's acting. I love his character. He fully captured my heart with his handsome face and charming characters. Who would'nt want a man like him who's relentless in pursuing the girl he loves, never give up till the girl loves him back. I'll do the same if I was Pipi, maybe fallen for him faster than her :P Victoria's acting as Pipi also convincing. I've watched her in Ice Fantasy and her acting never amazed me but here she improved alot. Other characters that I loved are Kuanyong and Xui Xian . I loved watching their scene together with Xiao Ju. They're funny,loyal and kind. This also has good OST. For the first 20 eps I would give them 9/10 but I settled for 8.5/10 as my level of enjoyment decreased esp while watching the finale. Still, I recommend this to all of chinese drama fans out there :)
For me, the first 4 eps were exceptional and got my full attention. I would give 10/10 just for those eps . Sadly, starting from ep 7 till the end, the plot got repetitive and boring. I dislike the main lead's character, Hwa Pyung. His character was way 2 dimensional, little to no depth, selfish and the way he reacts in the story annoyed me alot. To sum up The Guest, it's like a game where the viewer need to guess where is Park Il Do in humans.And if you think you found that evil spirit, that's where you got wrong. To play this guessing game for 16 hours straight , that's too long. Fortunately , fast forward button was there.
8/10 rating for Qu Chu Xiao and Li Yi Tong's performances and exceptional chemistry, top-notch cinematography, great OST ,beautiful and vibrant coloured costumes, for the intense love story and few tear-jerker eps (ep 13,16,25,27,29,35,36).. minus 2 for a boring political story and that shitty ending.
I dropped the last season because I couldnt withstand many things in the story. Somehow ,I started the 2nd season because I'm in mood for something thrilling . I managed to finished all the eps and it did'nt disappoint me like the 1st season. The story was engaging with the right amount of eps. There are few times this show managed to scared the shit out of me. The scenes with the little girl , the visually creepy clown and the crazyness of our main villain. The loopholes also were'nt obvious and less annoyed me. The male lead's acting was great. The villains are super creepy and the backstory of them were convincing.
IMO, if you're an impatient person ,u shouldnt watch chinese drama at all because most of them has 50 to 60 ++ eps full of conflicts and dramatic events..Some eps wil be slow and some will be fast . In this case, you just only watch like 2 eps (??)and already judged it so harshly lol..sorry I found ur review very 'funny' ...
How this drama still gets 8.8 here in MDL baffled me. What great qualities this drama has that made majorities rated it that high I cant fathom..I guess majorities really favoured this kinda story ,we're so different..I rated this 4/10 and I made a vow to never ever watch any drama written by this Baek Mi Yeong writer again..
Finally I finished my 3rd chinese drama of this year after LLIT and LOFY...Kudos to myself~ 63 eps, roughly 47 hours of my life was spent on this show. I rated this 8/10 for the goldly handsome Pheonix, for a cutely beautiful Jin Mi, sneaky and pretty Pu Chi, the BEST uncle Moon Immortal, for all the lavish CGI effects in this show and for that ending :) Eventhough I'm not so into the story but the exceptional chemistry of our OTP, great acting by all the cast and the top notch visual has stole my heart made me rated it higher than my level of enjoyment with the show.
