Yeah there isn't anything we could do. The ones should be sad the most are the actors and actresses.... Since they worked hard for it and it could ruin the flow ( of the romance) for some people.
We just have to understand. Overall it's a good and funny drama though. Don't let it stop you to check it out

AMA doesn't even have a kiss or much romance between the lead due to the restriction/ political influence.
XZL is actually fine w his kissing. In fact he is known for good at it. But it's acting. Most of the drama kisses are like that or worse. XK and BL are known as rumored couple so no doubt their kisses are different. But it's not the case in all cdramas or when they act with others either.
And dramas aren't only about kissing.
I didn't think XZL is great either because the acting in EL but he is fine here with BL.

Lucky's first love is one of the better romcom out there. Good story, good acting, good chemistry, no waterdown , be evil 2nd lead, smart and likable leads with a lot of sweet scenes, and a happy ending

AMA is a good production too. But for people that like sweet romance it would be lacking. And they pushed 2nd leads too much, XK has much more screen time w her than BL. Same with BL and the 2nd male lead have better story line. It's partly because they cut off the main romance out

Of course, everyone has opinion but it's a fact Lucky's 1st love have higher douban rating (7.1 vs 6.6) and gave Bai Lu better feedbacks than AMA. On the feedback because the role is quite different with her previous bad-ass roles even she did well in all her roles

Those should come out next years so we still have time.
I like the classic monkey king so I actually not passionate about all these remakes. But I'm excited to see her in a new role

AMA is an overall good drama. But some of BL scenes and most of the romance were cutting out due to political influence so you will probably need to to check out The legends after that drama. I did take notice of BL because of her role in AMA though because she actually was convincing as a gender bend which you don't see often in cdrama and she is handsome. Haha But because of her short hair there so she had to wear wig in TWOMAFL lol

I think she actually has chemistry with both male and female , not just only her lead and 2nd lead actors, which is pretty amazing too.
Many cfans love this drama because her role is so feminine and adorable, which is quite different with her previous roles.
AMA is good but too bad all the romance between the leads were cut off due to political influences, so we have the leads spending more time with the 2nd leads than with each other. But XK and BL still sell their chemistry

I think the 2 dramas are different and good at different things. We never have enough sugar in AMA like we do in here LOL

Have you watched her other dramas? I think her next one is either Zhao Ge or The Monkey King 3, which were filmed a long while ago. Zhao Ge was actually her debut drama so she will have a very small role there LOL.
I'm looking forward to Jiu Liu Overlord more but not sure if we could see it next year.

It's a remake of a Japanese drama. But douban rating, WOM and popularity haven't been great.

I'm actually doing a Bai Lu Marathon, re watching her dramas and interviews etc... LOL as I just discovered her not too long ago. She has a rumored drama so I'm planing to look for the novel it's based on too.

I'm more into historical/ fantasy drama though while prefer modern novels LOL. it's weird

If you talked about her testing him then it needed to be done. He need to change and open up to her before she agreed to get married with him

I heard of MGIAA and watched some cut but I'm not in a mood for modern fantasy right now. Will watch another time
TWOMAFL is actually doing quite well for a small web production that they released all the eps at once for VIP. It has been on top of the views and has good words of mouth. But since they release all eps at once and the drama only has 24 eps so there are limitation. But I'm sure production, directors and actors are happy with the result.
XZL has another drama that released almost at the same time and it doesn't get the same positive result.

It's a good dram with definitely better production. Enjoy

I didn't love the double wedding either. But I feel like the production were probably tried to promote the 2nd leads, which most cdramas would do... I mean they even had a cute fun dance LOL

Her hair stylist must have hate her. I mean Her wig in AMA was worse . Like she was so handsome with short hair but every time she wore a long hair wig, it made her look weird..... But thanks God, her acting is good enough to win the horrible wig .
Her hair is longer now. And because of this drama and the ugly wig, people are asking her to do another cute modern drama now to make it up ....

And If you haven't watched any other dramas from Bai Lu, I would recommend you to check them out. I recently discovered her because she looks so handsome in AMA and I'm quite impressed how she owning each role each project.

And I just expressed I like how light and refreshing the drama is and find their relationships in it realistic. I just explained and discuss my points, which you didn't agree eaarlier - asking if we watch the same drama?

I didn't think it's bad. But I guess people want and got used to all the sweetness so they find it lacking in these episodes. I think He purposely not telling her, text or not. It's just who he is, if you pay attention to the drama He didn't say anything to his sister about her ex, same with he didn't tell XY about CN and more. He likes to keep it for himself and used to make decision on his own.
It wasn't a problem with XY when they were in still employee and boss relationship. But the ex gf and his family thing combined have highlighted the issue to her. That's why she make sure he changed before agree to get married with him.
I do want more cuteness after wedding too.

But they are both in love with each other. Just that they didn't realize it.
He didn't know he likes her that much even everyone could see that until when he thought he is about to loose her.
I think he got a good impression when he first met her and working with her, knowing her and how they went through up and down together make him liking her more.... Similar with her. She was fine with boss and employee or money motivated relationship with him that she didn't realize she is in love with him...

This is a light, relax, sweet and funny drama, a bit of slice of life and inspirational. It's not something fast pace, dramatic or would blow you out of the water.

I like it because both leads are smart, likable, their relationship is funny yet realistic ( I prefer friend to lovers than love at first sight or hate to love relationship and think it works often in real life so you can see why I think it's realistic consider how familiar and comfortable their relationship is ) .
The drama doesn't have a lot of dog blood plots or over-used cliches that we often see in cdramas like evil 2nd female, or misunderstanding about the ex gf and breakup, or the rich family would send the poor girl away etc.. Hence it's refreshing
