Czytalam jego Never Let Me Go i bylam totalnie rozczarowana... Dobry pomysl, ale wykonanie mega banalne i z dziurami w fabule.

Haha, I know what you mean - once I got a private message in which the girl was threatening me that she'll "hunt me down and beat me to the ground", lol :D
Do not mess with fangirls, that's the lesson I got (but still do it anyway, I'm livin' on the edge ;P)

Oh yeah, fashon in YaB... well, it just wasn't here I guess ;) But since this drama Jang Geun Suk was becoming more and more weird; those ugly hairdos, bizzare clothes and strange behaviour... he's becoming a caricature of an idol, I'm wondering if he's doing this on purpose?
I'm gulity of starting That Winter solely for Jo In Sung but even his looks didn't help. As for Innocent Man - Song Joong Ki is sooo cute! I love him, but I saw 5 first minutes of IM and it was bad - they tried so hard to make him look professional as a doctor and gave him those hipster glasses.. The effect was hilarious! But yeah, those 2 dramas are like holy duality for some people. Do not dare to insult it or we'll find you and kill you! ;P And they really overuse the word "masterpiece".

But on the other hand it's cool that j-dramas have smaller audience - it means less fangirlism, more constructive criticism, haha! ;)

I soo agree about this "Korea FTW! Everything else sucks!" thingy, it bothers me too. We all love to see some eye candy but puh-lease, calling something masterpiece only because, let's say, Lee Min Ho is in it? I can't stand this guy, but when I think about it deeply my dislike is not caused by his acting (which is pretty bad, but I've seen worse - example: all actors in YaB), but by this obsessive fangirlism about him. Have you seen what was happening on his new drama "Heirs" page? Lol, and some people not only rate the drama before it airs, but also each episode and give it a 10! It would be funny if they also started giving reviews like "OMG I loove it! Lee Min Ho is sooo hawt!" - well, they're gonna love it anyway, no matter what will they see, so why not? ;) Thats why I loved the way some people trolled those girls on 'Heirs' page :D

Obejrzalas juz ten film? Polecasz?

As for j-dramas: they are the ones who make me come back to dramas usually, I just have to find the right one for me. Started watching Byakuyako, but this one is soo utterly depressing that it's hard to watch, even though it's good and I love the actor who plays main role here.
Oh, thanks, I'll check this movie! ;) It's great to find little things like that ;)

Haha, we all have some weaknesses (or guilty pleasures? ;P), I kinda liked Flower Boy Ramyun Shop even though lots of people say it's really bad :D But still, your review on Innocent Man is a prime example why we need you here ;D
I so agree about k-dramas! Even when I feel like watching something, I'm thinking: ok, this drama has 20 eps, first 2-3 will be a loong and draggy introduction, then another 5 for our OTP to develop some kind of bond, another 3 wasted on some silly problems like evil step-mother or someone wants to steal your company, then last minute tragedy... and here we have a 20sec happy ending. It's not like I hate Korean dramas, but now, that I've seen some of them I'm more picky. I've seen That Winter... Wow, that was one draggy drama! I absolutely hated it, it was beautiful, yes but nothing else for me. It started my slump actually, haha ;)

Yup, I noticed your absence here, I missed your voice of reason among all those fangirling fangirls ;)
Well then, I have to confess I'm really surprised: I know Szymborska got a Nobel prize and all that (duuuh, who in my country doesn't know such thing?), but I thought that abroad she was known only for a very specific group of people (like librarians or linguists or sth, haha ;)). And I admit, even though I am able to read her in original, I haven't done it since high school I guess... But I still remember one of her poems, the one called A Song On the End of the World - I don't know why, but it's still on my mind, even if I read it only few times a long time ago.
And I've been ok, thank you, although I'm constantly in a drama slump of sorts, I suppose. And how about you? Watching something interesting? ;)
It's great to have you back here on MDL!
