What a beautify ending to a wonderful drama. So sad that it ended, I will miss seeing Deng Lun as Hao Zeyu and Sandra as Fu Zi so much as I have been spending nearly a month to get to know and love them. Congratulations to the team and all the cast for producing such a heartwarming inspiring drama <3
Heartbreaking episode 43, I feel so sad for both Fu Ze and Hao Zeyu. Hopefully they can get through this sad time and hardship together. A really emotional and heartfelt performance by Deng Lun and Sandra, such brilliant actors. This is one of the best Drama I’ve seen, beautiful <3

Such a great show, from the set to the problems that the team has to solve to the cast are excellent. They’re great together and their interactions with each other is so genuine, funny and entertaining. Deng Lun especially is so endearing, cute, charming and intelligent, he made this show more entertaining. He’s such a gem ????
Deng Lun and Sandra Mah acting is priceless, very natural. They have such a great onscreen chemistry right from the very start of the drama. The story and scripts are very good too, so many endearing moments between DL & SM and also all the supporting character. I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of this drama. Deng Lun is such a talented and versatile actor, his role in this drama is so different from any of his previous drama and he portrays the character so well making you laugh and cry with him. In my opinion, this is one of the best role for Deng Lun and I wish this drama enjoys the success its deserve.

I liked Run Yu at first but half way through the series I started to dislike his character and got really annoyed that the writer has added so much of the back story for his character instead of focus on the main leads's story. Despite my frustration at the side story and all the added Run Yu's back story the drama become really intense and heart wrenching from episode 49 onward Don't drop it!
Ashes of love is truly amazing. The casts, the acting, the set and the story line especially the epic love story between Xufeng and Jinmi are first class. The chemistry between the main leads is awesome, you can feel their deep love for each other just by the way they looked at each other and their body language (Jinmi constantly unconsciously touched Xufeng here and there were so sweet). Deng Lun and Yang Zi are such talented actors. Leo Luo is great as Run Yu too and also all the other casts did such a great job in portraying their roles. Though I has one reservation - the main leads had not been given enough screen times and Xufeng's character has not been developed like Run Yu's character which in effect making Xufeng a bit two dimensional. Too much time was spent on developing the side stories and the second male lead story which was fine but it should not be at the expense of the main leads as to undermine their characters and story. Their beautiful love story should be the main focus because it is the main aspect that makes this series amazing so more time should be allocated to Jinmi & Xufeng's heart warming and wrenching love story. Deng Lun's performance as a magnificence Fire God was just brilliant. However, his character Xufeng/Fire God/Phoenix has not been given much of a back story for Deng Lun to work with (unlike Run Yu's back story) but Deng Lun managed to add depth to Xufeng/Fire God character thanks to his excellence acting ability (I think that the writer seems to concentrate on Run Yu's back story too much and neglecting to develop Xufeng's character in the same way). Nonetheless this is still my favourite drama - sharing the top spot with Nirvana in Fire. I kept re-watching this series so many times already and will continue to do so.... The undying love between the majestic and gorgeous Xufeng & beautiful Jinmi's will always have a place in my heart.
I don't understand why people blamed Xufeng for the wrongdoings of his parents. Yes I agree that he was ignorant and didn't aware of many crimes that his parents had committed in the past. But the fact remain that Xufeng was innocence of their crimes. And finally when he was made aware of his mother's crimes he was willing to die in order to make up for her sins when the Water Immortal intended to kill his mother. I admire his resolute and his love for his mother. Also he has never wronged Run Yu but only shows his love, respect and what more protective of Run Yu when someone was trying to frame Run Yu of plotting to kill Xufeng and he did his best to clear Run Yu's of the accusation. Also Run Yu always aware that Xufeng loves Jinmi from earlier on but decided later to compete with Xufeng when he realised about his marriage contact with Jinmi. Also he manipulated Jinmi into saying that she likes him to mislead the Water Immortal into agreeing to let Jinmi marrying him. In addition, Xufeng truly loves Jinmi and was willing to die to protect Jinmi from dangers in many occasions and Run Yu was aware of that fact. Run Yu has a very sad and miserable past but it was wrong to blame this on Xufeng and what was more despicable was when he made Jinmi believe that Xufeng killed her dad and the Wind Immortal and later on using Jinmi to kill his own brother. Who is more despicable and cruel? - Xufeng for his passion and intense love for Jinmi that he cannot help himself and followed his own heart and passion before the breaking off of the engagement or Run Yu who repaired the Yun Dan to deprive Jinmi's of feeling love and to force Jinmi to stay by his side and also for plotting to kill your own brother to gain the position of the Emperor? I think Xufeng has suffered more than he deserves to in my humble opinion....
Such a heart-warming episode, a very lovely end to a good drama. I will really miss Shao Peng Cheng and all the main casts. Deng Lun is an amazing actor and I can't wait to see his other new dramas soon. Good bye My True Friend....
Lots of sweet and cute scenes between SPC and ZZ. I love the scene where ZZ accused SPC over the dinner for arranging with the inn owner to say that there was only one room left so that they have to share the room. Their interaction in this scene were very sweet especially Deng Lun's expression, so innocence and endearing. Also another one of my favourite scene is when SPC was sitting on a chair while ZZ is preparing to go to sleep (for real) and SPC looked at ZZ in such a cute way and then cleared his throat loudly to attract ZZ's attention and sympathy and it worked as ZZ got up to look for a more comfortable way for him to sleep. In that moment SPC found a chance to jump onto the bed with ZZ in such a mischievous and cute manner. Deng Lun's acting in these scenes were superb, very mischievous, cute and natural. Awesome actor, our Deng Lun!!
It's finally getting exciting now as the relationship between SPC and ZZ is progressing toward a romantic relationship rather than just close friends. Deng Lun's acting is amazing as he makes SPC character very endearing and full of life. He also establishes a very good chemistry with Angelababy, making their moments together sweet and captivating.
