In my humble opinion I think he’s a very good actor who is more than capable of portraying the characters he played. All the roles he had taken on were very different and he succeeded in portraying them. Neo is not only good looking but very talented as well.

This drama creates such controversy regarding the age gap between the main couple. The audiences put so much emphasis on the age gap rather than the story itself. The story is set in the ancient china where it was acceptable for older men especially ones from the noble families to marry a much younger women. In reality the big age gap between couples do exist in modern society too, for example the French president Macron- he was only 15 and his wife was 39 when they started dating! However, here the actress is a 25 yrs old adult and not a child, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea for this pairing but people should not attack the actor for taking on the ML role.

Zhao Yi Qin is fast becoming one of my favorite actors. His acting is superb as he is able to emote every emotion making all the characters he portrayed charismatic and believable. Hope he gets to be a ML in a major production soon as he possesses such great acting skills and charismatic personality.

Luckily it’s only 10 minutes per episode so I didn’t feel too bad wasting the totally amount of 280 minutes of my life watching this drama. The acting of the ML kept me going otherwise I would have dropped it after ep16!

Totally disagreed with your comments regarding Tian Yao, in my opinion he’s one of the best and endearing character and Neo’s portrayal of the character is mesmerizing.

This drama is one of the best series in 2022 in terms of the production, costumes, set designs, cinematography and acting. However, the the storyline of the second half failed short of my expectations, too many irrelevant sub plots that have nothing to do with the main storyline. I really like the ML character and wish that he has more screen time.

I beg to differ about the ratings of this series and a dream of splendor, just because you didn’t like it doesn’t mean that it’s bad. Also beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and I think it’s insensitive to criticise people regarding their appearances, we should concentrate on their ability to act instead.
