Yup, the project was perhaps taken before COVID. May be, that made it obsolete. Still poorly and carelessly made.

Low budget is not the problem. The main eyesore is the representation and portrayal. There are many dramas which are low budget but well made. However, this drama had good cast but the story telling, scene choreography, lighting, camera work failed them miserably. Sigh!

Nah, it is not banned. They released a promo just after its wrap-up. And, in the drama version, they will show friendship instead of bromance shown in the comic version .

One of things I have to mention, the bad camera work. It is criminal how he was captured in this drama. GWG can nail any look and his profiles are really good. But, the cameraman was unable to capture him properly. Besides, the director really lacks vision. His representations are not joining the dots. In some scenes, GWG seems like an extra, just standing there, doing nothing much. A director needs to be updated and constant learner. If not, this is what happens.

We can only blame Jaywalk Studio for that. That Agency is allegedly infamous for picking up wrong projects for its actors.

This project is a waste of talent. I pity GWG. And yes, as a new generation actor, Deng Wei's performance really stands out in LoDT. He reminds me of Wang Hedi's Performance in LBFD.
Gao is awesome. I hope he gets projects from iqyi which will complement his talents.

It is all over the place. No character buildups, no background. The story should have been mysterious but seems like a high school presentation.

I have watched 5 episodes but couldn’t connect with the story. It is bad making and bad story. The lighting is so blinding, the quality of voice dubbing is so jarring to the ear.
If not for Gao Weiguang, I wouldn’t even bother to watch those 5 episodes. This is the first ever drama of GWG I am going to drop.☹️☹️☹️

There is angst, but no breakup.

This is the most satisfying drama I have ever watched in years. No open-ending, no bullshit, well-ended. The sweet angst was worth it, after all.

I strongly believe, if they had cast a mature actress who was in her mid twenties, they could have created a lot more romantic scenes with the ML. They had already aged the character by 3 years, since in the book, Mi Lan is 15. May be, it would be great to show that Mi Lan was 21, still unmarried due to her blindness, being a burden to her parents, causing more frustration to her mom; thus, her mom reacted like this. 🙄🙄🙄

Um not cursing them. However, as an audience, my patience is getting thinner and thinner. I have done all the waiting with the snowfall drama and am heavily disappointed. At this point, I have started feeling like, may be, I should give up on watching chinese dramas, although my favourite actors are there, working very hard.
