the villain shouldnt get that screen time at the beginning of his story and his moral wasnt good enough
Plenty. There was one scene where SZH was treating Mi Lan's lips by applying medicines after biting. And, Mi Lan confessed that she loved him but later it was changed to 'care' during dubbing. And, many gore scenes.

Actually, it’s not that Li Ying Liang got more screen time. A lot of Shen and Mi Lan scences got cut due to censorship. And for that ending, I have got no excuses.
No, she regains her sight in the last 1/3 of the show
The blood Amber stone could provide its power to one person at a time. This way, the person who had its essence before would perish in 3 years after it had been used for another person. Wei Qu died this way bcz She saved SZH at her son's behest.
Does anyone know why the Chinese government censored certain scenes? Grateful for any info.
The story had a japanese element (Superintendent Chi Shanying was a pro-Japanese), it was cut. Gore scenes as well. No blood and fangs. Those scenes are not allowed according to Chinese policy.
Actually, the character pattern is different. Ae-shin had an agendum. She chose her duty over love. Her world…
True enough. I mean, she was a girl of 18 in the Republican era where women used to get married at very early age. There was no way that an 18 year old would be this much child-like. Many people were saying, since she was abused by her mother, couldn’t grow her persona as such. Come on! That's not a logic. If the character followed the novel, it would not be that jarring to the eye.
sigh.. if only they made the power between the main leads more balanced, the age difference between the actors…
Actually, the character pattern is different. Ae-shin had an agendum. She chose her duty over love. Her world didn’t revolve around Eugene. On the other hand, SZH is the world Mi Lan knows and wants to be in. Tbh, the direrctor made a 18-year-old character look like a 13 year old girl. When she was blind, she was not so child like. However, after getting her sights, she was genuinely a baby. It is very jarring to the eye at some point. Even in the novel, Mi Lan has a realistic and cold demeanour.
In episode 14 Weilian said that his brother needs something from him, what did he mean by that?I thought he was…
He used to supply him bottles of blood. Those scenes had been cut from the drama. Yet, you can get a hint in ep 6 when Weilian came back from Mi Mansion to inform SZH about Mi Lan. In that scene, 2 blood bottles were kept on the table.
BlindBeatenHalf Deadthe FL remained GORGEOUSI fully enjoyed this from start to finish. I was expecting to be disappointed…
I am glad you liked it that much. However, i am one of those complainants. We were miffed bcz they didn’t follow the book ending. Still, the drama is a good piece of work.
I've had my eyes on him since Eternal Love TMOPB, and seems news about him are positive. Hes very tall, fit, good…
From The Interpreters, I have been following him. However, he received much hate from that drama. But, he took it all like a pro and emerged like a Phoenix. I admire him a lot.

In the novel, he was turned by Situ Weilian.
A gray character.
2. Yup, pretty much.
N.B. There is a chapter in the discussion, you can read it to know how the actual plot was written.
