At episode 7. I’ve got to say so far the FL comes off as super dependent on the ML. I heard there is some sort…
Finished this drama. And I stand by the separation deal. They both seemed to have a lot of baggage and needed to sort it out themselves without each other. It just felt healthier. She had lost a lot of time from her career and needed to catch up. He had to get healthier and wanted to be part of something greater while at it. That one year ghosting her though. He seems like a man who would have a reason for that year, they show how he still loved her and went to see her often, but they say absolutely nothing about what he was up to. That would have tied it up nicely.
Really curious about the relationship Consort Yue and ML's biological mother... They hate each other but she still…
It seems the ML’s mother and the consort sort of grew up together. They seem to be old rivals. There seems to be some accounts of them knowing each other for years along with the Emperor. The Emperor and the Consort, whenever they talk about her, it is as if they know her well. Which is not surprising as children of high ranking officials and even royals tend to be taught and trained together. There are also some hints that she too was a prospective bride for the Emperor.
At episode 7. I’ve got to say so far the FL comes off as super dependent on the ML. I heard there is some sort of separation time between them in this drama. I’m starting to think staying away from each other at some point might be good. She needs to learn and grow by her own. And he needs to get his life together.
This is quite a charming and satisfying drama. There are lot of obvious scenarios and some situations where the script is stretching things a bit, but despite it, I really enjoyed watching it.
I am a little biased towards the ML. But they did a good job, and pairing was good.
There were so many people out there to ruin ML for various reasons - revenge, competitor elimination, jealousy,…
It was that part of it that made it appealing towards the end. The forgiveness and the moving on made it all the more endearing. If not for it, to be honest the ML would have come off as the sole bad guy, but here there were a bunch of people growing and getting over their past sorrows and traumas together.
At one point I did wonder if all the people he knew ended up committing some crime or the other 😂
That was a decent ending to a decent show. I liked it a lot mostly due to the overall concept. I might even rewatch.
The ending was just enough to cover all the bases and was neat.
Admittedly there are issues with some of the cases being dull and some of the characters too, but I think it was well done with the 1 case per episode format they had. They managed to cover a lot despite that. Of course if there is another season, I would like more hardcore cases and a little more time with the characters.
Wouldn’t mind a little more evil from the Hanbada Boss or even someone else. So far all the supposedly negative characters sort of let it go and decided to move on in the last episode. Which is healthy, at the same time I do like some solid good evil action.
This is a good drama. But I’m just wondering. Why is the entire cast playing a role of some sort of criminal?
Everything from workplace harassment to breaking and entering and stalking all the way to murder attempts. Between them all, a good section of major crimes where represented. 😂
Either way I liked it. Mostly cuz there seemed to be a good learning curve and redemption arc for them all.
Just finished episode 4 and I finally got somewhat hooked. Normally I have to be hooked after episode 1 but I…
It takes a bit for you to really catch on. The pace and such picks up slowly. It takes some determination from your side if you are not the type to choose slower moving dramas. But it is quite beautiful in a lot of aspects.
The story of a pair of impossible weirdos who were practically drawn to each other at first sight. The leads, I don’t know how to put this, they are both (maybe a little extra on the male lead) impossibly immature and in a lot of ways trapped in their individual pasts and traumas. It hinders their relationship as teenagers and later, they have to work through it during their encounter as adults. They are not perfect, both of them come with a ton of baggage, issues, traumas, insecurities and they can both be mean as heck to each other. I’ve noticed a lot of people are hostile to one of the leads, either one. But to me, I see a story of two people shedding years of pain and insecurities bit by bit and accepting each other. For people who are so emotionally fragile and insecure as the two of them, it would be unnatural if it is not messy.
it's not a big deal to be honest, the Atty Jung already had a surgery, the whale couple already had a conversation,…
True. But then there seems to be a new case and a lot of time with the mother character. I think they will get it done. Just a little worried. If what others say is right and they want a second season, they might leave something for the next one.
The other senior lawyer appeared ridiculously incompetent.
Too incompetent. How did he become a senior lawyer with the capability of handling these cases in the absence of his colleague? You’d thing an agency like Hanbada can do better than that.
the incompetence of the senior lawyer really baffled me. even if they want to make Yeong Woo a genius and him…
He seems to dull and incompetent for a senior lawyer at an agency like that. That too one they think capable on handling a lot of good cases. It doesn’t add up.
i wish the characters were more mature, they're supposed to be in their late 20s but the way they treat each other…
I’d say take it bit by bit, I’m a person who watches several episodes at a time too. Almost dropped it due to the pace. But the cinematography is beautiful and the background scores and OST too. The actors did a good job too, it is that awful pace that gets to you.
It is quite relaxing to watch 1 or two episodes at a time.
No love triangle beacuse Ji Ung give way to their love story..
That’s good. The ML and FL seem both miserable and extremely happy with their relationship. They just keep running into each other. I think it would hurt them so much more if the SML made a serious move, hell he’d feel guilty too. He is best friend to the ML practically family to the leads. I do feel sad for the SML, but this is one of those situations which if acted on will hurt too many people including himself. He should move on and find someone who can make him happy, without hard feelings and the potential guilt and sorrow a relationship with the FL will bring. Not that the ML would cause a fuss if they chose each other. After some sulking and crying, in the end he would probably go back to his quiet peaceful routine. Despite any issues or unintentional selfishness from both men, they are practically brothers, but it is evident here that all three are experts at hiding their misery and in the end it would get dark. He is a wonderful guy, he can find his own happiness. Leave the ML and FL to this brilliantly beautiful yet stupidly angst-filled romantic tug of war they seem so keen on.
That celebrity/idol is the most boring, uninteresting, unimportant character ever. She has too much screentime,…
I agree there. Her role seems too irrelevant to the plot. They could just delete her and it would not make a change. No hate to the actress, I’d much rather blame the script. It is like she was just added there to make the female lead feel insecure.
People need to stop doing that. There is always this one person who likes each of the leads to make them second guess their choices, causes their relationship to lag behind and viewers uncomfortable. You can mix it up every now and again.
