We audiences have been schooled to be drawn automatically and sympathise with such character which is written in lots of drama even modern ones. What is harder for audiences to love and be drawn to is a tough female character who is independent, strong and smart. The stronger the female character like a man, the harder the viewers find it hard to accept. Yes we may admire her but to be drawn and fall in love with her immediately? ... nah ... we viewers biased at heart. It will take a bit more time fir the viewers to cheer this character.
Admit it ... put these 2 character sides by side ChangGe & LeYan .... tendency is audiences will be drawn to LeYan first as this character is written for the romantic in us : hero save the damsel in distress.
A strong character like ChangGe is harder to act. There's a lot of nuances in it. One can't express it out too much nor hold it in too much. And has to act and stay as much in character of the manhwa.
