I was a bit dissapointed with this. It had all the makings of a good mistery/thriller, but then it turned into a full-fledged monster movie and I couldn't stop laughing about how on the nose the whole message was. Just after watching the movie I realised that it was the continuation of the drama Nakee, so this type of story development was to be expected, but not knowing that beforehand I was expecting less of a fantasy movie and more of a thriller.
Truth to be told, I quite enjoyed the 2nd part of the drama myself, but with how poorly the important parts were…
Since that is your field of profession, I can understand that it would bother you even more than anyone else. I major in cultural studies and it drives me crazy when I see cultural discrimination or type-casting of foreigners based on stereotypes in dramas. So I totally get where you are coming from. The more you actually know about a certain topic, the more you can not unsee the sloppiness of the script.

Because I still managed to enjoy watching it quite a bit, my rating would not be that low, but these points are exactly the reason why this drama can not advance to my favourite BL dramas.
I just realized I explained it a bit unclear. What Tharn actually says in Thai is: But I am your husband (pua)! You could read "so I have a claim on you" into it or not. Anyway, he doesn't say it. But Tharn being the pua would make Type the mia (wife). But that doesn't work so well with gay couples... >_< (Which doesn't mean that they don't use that in BL dramas, see 2Moons 2 - Forth/Beam)
In English they said though: You're my bitch! which turns the focus from Tharn to Type and makes the claim even more obvious. But it becomes way more insulting as well, so I feel that something like: But you belong to me! would fit way better...
I think they chose to translate the word "pua" (which means husband in the sense of someone you have sexual relations with, not someone your are legally married to) as bitch because depending on the situation it can have a bit of a derogative meaning to it. Something like: we slept together, so I own you. And I felt that Tharn was implying a bit of that when he said it. But at the same time P'Jeed and her boyfriend/husband used the same word with a loving undertone.
Anyway, I agree that the translation wasn't well done, because bitch is a way stronger insult than pua could ever be.

I found this to be an okay drama. I watched it until the end, which is more than I can say about a lot of other Korean dramas, so I would call it somewhat entertaining. But it's true that the story was a bit lacking and I got sometimes bored with the rather bland romance.

Jiang Cheng is actually my favourite character in the whole drama (apart from the two main leads, of course)! The storyline between the two brothers was so heartbreaking and more than for any romance I was hoping for that conflict to be solved...

Two Weeks is one of my favourite dramas! I would gladly watch any remake of it.
Mine too!! And I will watch it, simply because I want to see Miura in that role. But I fear that the Japanese version will miss the charme of the Korean original. That often seems to happen with their remakes. It's the same the other way around, though. Korean remakes of Japanese dramas do not seem to work either...

But I do strongly recommend the Korean version. As All_In mentioned, it's excellent. I have rewatched it several times and it's one of my all-time favourites. I never got bored watching it, and I get bored easily with dramas...

In the K-drama the couple sort of reunited, but it was kept a bit open. But I felt that was the best way to go. For one, they had not seen each other for years before the whole story with the transplant happened and there was a lot of bad blood between them. And two, the mother had a fiancé who she just broke up with. So I felt that any major romance plot would have been unrealistic.
