Kind of late, but I think YCY is doing a really good job with the script. Her and Ryan have wonderful chemistry, and you can absolutely feel the love and care they have for one another in their scenes. The haters are absolutely cruel, and I really think it has to do with the scripts and their percieved hatred of her that caused her to cry. The script in this IS a little wonky and not very fluid IMO right now, but I've seen her in Chong Zi and now this and I truly think she is LEAGUES better in this than she was in that.

Another thing I enjoy about this is that the MFL loves food and in front of Lord Ding she isn't afraid to show how much she loves eating food and enjoying it. Dude was absolutely flipping his shit when he found out she could cook. He was even musing over the fact that she acted this way and that he wondered if she wasn't with him knowing he was noble would she still act this way, and she drunkenly replied yes.

I love watching her clap back. The fact that Lord Ding was like 'aren't you afraid', dude, she ain't with people who talk shit - they're gonna get hit with shit - the verbal kind. I like that he allows her to be herself and he finds her charming because of it.

Ditto what Ericka said. It doesn't try to play stupid with the viewers, the plot is natural and moves smooth. If you enjoyed A Dream of Splendor you'd enjoy this.

For 40 year old, he looks great and it truly is shame he got the CGI fix on his looks.

What I like about the ML is that he is good looking but not idol pretty boy. That his mannerisms and acting amplify the heat. That's how you know a script is good. He chose a winner in terms of scripts and I really can't see anybody else handling it as well as him. (Well, maybe Xu Xheng Xi.)

Oh my god, Lord Dings gazes and manerisms were absolutely scorching. I noticed he is smiling a lot more around her. Like, a drunk man when indulging in his favorite wine - her! I love how she is so oblivious to her looks and how she comes across, because when she asked him if he was upset he turned down the pretty Princess he instantly thought she was pretty in his eyes.

The moment when Lord Ding told the prince to fight with him my heart was like, omg he is gonna show off to his woman.

The moment when Jing showed the Princess how skilled he was with the arrows. Damn. He is totally a humble dude. She is learning more and more about him and it keeps surpising her. I think she is starting to turn her gaze on him.

The Second Princess I think is gonna hook up with the older Prince.

Also, brownie points: Jiang was being kind and asking her if she wanted to sit in the shade because he was being considerate and then immediately apologized without prompting because he realized how put-down it appeared but she said she completely knew that he was only being concerned for her and not that she was a woman. Little things like that make me happy. He is the best dude friend / older brother like figure she could have. This writing is so supportive of females it makes me happy.
