Oh man, XYQ just showed up for a brief moment. He is so damn fine, gosh. Like, he NEEDS to be a lead again.
Hell, I'll accept YSZ in another role too. He isn't really doing much like he did in Moonlight. In Moonlight, he had some amazing kissing scenes and sexual tension with his co-star.
I loved the most recent episode. I was GUFFAWING (laughing out loud) at their reactions to the demon essence. Only Ryan and Esther can play characters like this together. Then, let all the animals loose, run away with their cute song playing in the background while the store literally blows up.
Ryan is just one of those people who plays the rich, snooty boy in high school but falls for the dorky girl. In this, he is playing the ultimate brat and falling for his cute modern girl. But I am curious, is he a real person who ended up trapped / lost memories in the game?
Maybe it's just me, but, there is this thing in real life where people believe men showing emotion = not manly. So, I actually love that the men in this show are crying / emotional. Men shouldn't stifle their emotions. They should express them as easily as women.
"Fei never knew I volunteered to be sealed in the villa with him". Fuck. Break me, show! She actually loved him and chose! She chose him and yet, he never knew and never thought that someone would sacrifice freedom for him.
Are people born wicked or has wickedness been thrust upon them?
All these demons are not exactly 'bad', they have become bad based on things they tried to do for other people - people they loved. I'm starting to see an interesting pattern here. Will they actually find a true demonic entity?
I love how ZYZ keeps proving people wrong by doing good things for other people. The 'doll', breaking ZYC's spell, healing QG.
I love how this show keeps defying the stereotypical enforced demonic ideals Chinese censorship placed on its shows / media.
I also love how gay this show is too? Like, everyone is just so fluidly gay and touchy that it makes me happy.
You know how TV shows can have confined stories in episodes and each one is a new thing / new day / weeks later? This show would rock if it was like that - that while there is an ongoing plot you can infer that stuff happened off screen.
Ying Li: "why is it wet here?" [touches the spot, lifts fingers to nose, smells... slowly wipes it on the coffin edge] LOL, Bai Jiu peed himself in fear!
There was some good ideas and maybe I'd accept the ending but the writing on getting there was just not fluid enough. Guess that's what happens when you try adapting a book with a toxic ML.
"I really wish they didn't make half of the last episode about obsessed SML and his BS."This ✅ and I am also…
lol, all the crushes I had were dumb as hell and not great people after taking a step back and evaluating, which she did, but yeah, dude probably would have dressed her up in old clothes and roleplayed their old situations to rekindle their love 🤢🤮

Someone on the writing team must have had pity for him. And however they got everyone to agree with that... man. Hope people in China questioned that death scene too.

What a crazy first date!
But man, this last episode had some real m/m feels.

Anyway. I like this show.
