The 2020s have had some really good Chinese dramas! Like A Dream of Splendor, Blossoms in Adversity, this... but I ask myself that too. People, esp. the PBS / Masterpiece crowd would eat this up. Plus, Shogun tho based on a book was pretty damn popular. If people can enjoy kdramas and Japanese tales, I think there is room for CDramas on Netflix too. Their selection is so pitiful.

One of the interesting things about ZYZ is how he is proving ZYC wrong. ZYC would think that ZYZ would collaborate with CL because he is trying to backstab, but he has feelings and actually wanted to help CL end up with his love.

Then, when they were at his estate, ZYZ enjoys staying somewhere beautiful and calming. ZYZ thought he'd like to live in dark place with bodies and etc. everywhere.

I now realize how ZYZ warned him 'you better kill me' because I bet he was gonna get ZYC to realize that he has been a good person deep down but had reasons and when ZYC realizes his friendship with ZYZ (or bromance) is true, he isn't gonna want to kill him but he has to because of reasons.

I say oof. That hits hard.

Oh wow! He is a special one for sure. He is a really good character actor. Young but I think he gets it and enjoys acting to show what he can do.This role is top tier stuff, different but a great addition. Hope his next roles have depth like this one.

As a US viewer I love this show. Wish places in the US got access to these shows to air them on a cable channel or something. Then more people can try it out. I think this show would interest people who like historical romances.
