Hmm it's been three years since I started watching dramas I think. My first drama was Hana Kimi, which I loved. Then I tried Hana Yori Dango which was a disaster. Then fortunately I chose 1 Liter of Tears and that was it.I became an addict :)How about you?
btw I love what you said about being introvert in real life and extrovert online,as it's exactly the case for me as well! ;-)

Hello, nice to meet you! I'm from your neighboring country Bangladesh :-)
Yeah fortunately I was able to watch Barfi. The story is very funny, sweet and emotional at the same time.I loved it.Unfortunately the quality of both the video and audio was very bad(I got it from one of my friends,I think she downloaded it from the internet).I kinda regret not being patient and wait for the better quality as it ruined the fun for me to some extent.Since you're India you'll able to watch it in the big screen! I envy you :-p

LOL I seem to be the only soul in this drama universe for whom Hana Yori Dango was a complete disaster(I mean the story itself and not not the Japanese,Korean or any other version particularly. There were some elements horribly wrong in this drama which worked as a complete turn-off for me.Thankfully I picked up 1 Liter of Tears right after this one which hooked me completely, otherwise my drama-watching frenzy would've seen its end then and there!
My first Kdrama was Full House as well, which,I didn't hate but didn't fall in love with either.I guess the credit of making me interested in Kdramas goes to Goong though it's not one of my favorites.

Ok dear,I've finally started watching Answer to 1997 and as promised here's my honest feedback on the first 4 episodes-
It's cute,light-hearted and super funny. But to be honest,I still don't see how it toppled 1 Liter.Err...it seems I've harbored a grudge against this drama before even starting it,doesn't it? Hehe don't worry.I'll be objective in my opinion and watch it with open mind till the end ;)

Hehe I love calm, rational but kind guys.May be that's why Masato's character attracted me though it was my first time watching him in a drama. And yes I agree with everything you said.I think one of the reasons Nankyoku Tairiku was able to engage me emotionally so easily because it was based on a true event.Otherwise, perhaps,I wouldn't have been so affected by the story thinking it was too unlikely for the dogs to actually survive such adversity. But it made me realize once again the divinity of miracles :)
I'm currently watching Answer to 1997 in my endeavor to seek the secrets behind its popularity ;-)

Haha I'm waiting for Arang to finish airing. Then I'll start watching.Don't have the patience to wait for days for the next episode! :P
Currently watching Answer to 1997.It's cute and funny. But so far I haven't been able to find out the reasons for its insane popularity.Hopefully it'll get better.

Hello,omnichelle.How are doing? :)

Wow. Really?? This list is EXTREMELY subjective. These articles are getting more and more pointless. -__- What…
I've only one complain, more like a request u could say,plz clearly define the criteria of such list and strictly adhere to it.Like u said at first that these heroines are not going to be cute, overly nice girls but ended up choosing some who are famous for their naivety, clumsiness and whiny nature. It is also said that only positive thing they had were their cuteness. This was also the case for the previous article of best 10 K-heroes.I know u can't please everyone neither u should try to.But I think at least you'll have a definite answer to those criticism if u stick to you own reasoning and basis of choices :)<br />I really wish there were more articles about J-dramas though.Somehow Jdramas seem to be kinda neglected when it comes to such articles.

I can understand the frustration of omnichelle, to be honest.I know she's a fan of strong female leads who indeed represents girl power and the list includes some heroines who are exactly the opposite. However, I agree with Bladey and Skye.Everyone has their own perspective and choices and it's next to impossible to create a list which is agreeable to all.Besides I have neither such good writing skills as the authors of these articles nor the courage to endure the criticism after publishing one. Therefore I commend you for what you do.

I'm glad that you loved Nankyoku Tairiku. It's one of my fav Kimura Takuya drama.I had written a review on it a long time ago for my friends who were newbies in dramaland and asked me for recommendations.I think I'm gonna post it on MDL to share with my MDL friends. And remember I wrote this review BEFORE watching Legal High. You'll know why I mentioned it after u've read the review ;-D

Hello Bladey, welcome back ;)
I've finished Koi no Chikira.I liked the story.Somehow I felt it was quite similar to RMPW.Both had arrogant, eccentric but genius boss, apparently 'unqualified' secretary who gets employed through an unexpected situation and who has secret crush on her employer. Both had 'love square' and in both dramas they came to admit their feelings for each other in the episode before the last and finally confessed only minutes before the drama ended.Well,I understand that it's an usual formulas for rom-coms to keeps us audiences in suspense but I still found those similarities a bit funny.Overall, I enjoyed the drama though.I liked the sub-plots of Koi no Chikara better than those of RMPW.

Don't worry about late replies at all as I,myself, will also be taking a break from MDL.I just saw that the current number one is Answer to 1997 and 1 Liter is pushed down to no. 3.So I need go and watch Answer and find out how good it turns out to be. I personally thought no matter how realistic a drama feels it can't beat the realism of a drama based on a true story and executed as brilliantly as 1 Liter.Seems I was not so open-mined as I considered myself to be after all.I haven't even watched BM.Therefore if anyone deserves to be criticized for being narrow-mined it me,not you :)
I'll also be checking out the Jdramas Koi no Chikara and Arifureta Kiseki.I'll come back to inform if after finishing them.Have a happy break time ;-D

However, this was not the case for that article was it?The reason you criticized it because you thought it failed to present and justify the popularity of BM to the people who 'did not like BM'.I agree with you that the article just made it more popular among the people who already love BM.It was more like a promotion of BM and, though there's nothing wrong with promoting you fav drama,in doing so the writer and the supporters intentionally or unintentionally belittled 1 Liter and hurt the feelings of fans like me.It is possible though highly improbable that the writer watched 1 liter but hated to too much to put on the drama list. However,I wished he\she made a reasonable comparison between the former and present number one drama of MDL,touching the positive and negative aspects of the both and thus making it a fine article acceptable to fans of both dramas.

Haha you are being too hard on yourself dear. You did watch both BM and 1 Liter didn't you? and it is after watching both the dramas that you have reacted to the article the way you did.You explained to me clearly why you didn't like BM,and though I only had read recaps and not watched the drama,I dared to agree with you.Because after reading the recaps that's what I felt too-BM was trying too hard to make the story as emotional and dramatic it could...to the extent that it seemed to be forced and pretentious.
You know sometimes I come across reviews praising dramas which I personally didn't like at all(My Name is Kim Sam Soon by omnichelle for example) but the analytical and logical presentation of it makes me doubt my conclusion and I feel like giving that dramas another chance.

Ah!! I remember Confessions! It's not a movie easy to forget after all.IT left a huge impression on me with its dark,intense,though-provoking and strong storyline as well as with the visuals, directions and way of story-telling.Being a law student,I naturally was attracted to that assertion of the lady teacher-'the greatest friends of the delinquents are the juvenile laws' and it has made me think about this problem ever since. This movie dealt with a very practical issue-crimes committed by minors in Japan.I've read about some gruesome crimes committed in Japan\Korea where the perpetrator got away with nominal sentences only because they were underage.Although the way this movie presented this issue felt to be too cruel and horrendous at times, the actual incidents were much more repulsive.

Incidents like these-overhyping and bashing of selective dramas by prejudiced fangirls disappoint me in MDL too.I've been searching for a place where I can share my objective views with others and enrich, refine and broaden my outlook by receiving constructive arguments from other fans for a long time.I thought I finally found the place.Well,I'm still grateful to MDL as it got me the opportunity to know persons of liberal thoughts like you and a few others :)

I read your review on The Devil. As always it was excellent. While reading it,I suddenly remembered White Christmas.Have you watched it? It's not a revenge story like Devil but it shares similar psychological elements.IT also introduces many interesting characters who play vital roles in the story. It also throws at you the question as to what or who the actual evil is.Give it a try if you haven't yet :)

1 Liter of Tears is replaces by Bridal Mask!! *sigh*
Somehow I feel very sad and disappointed.May be I shouldn't since I haven't watched BM yet and it may turn out to be surprisingly good, but,no matter how good it is,I can't believe it will be good enough to surpass the standard of perfection set by 1 Liter or Tears. And in any case,I'm absolutely positive that none of those young actors of BM has the capability to perform as good as those of 1 Liter of Tears.....Nah,I feel heartbroken now to be honest :P
And you know what the most frustrating thing is,the writer of that article hasn't even watched 1 Liter of Tears!!I'm not gonna put this comment into spoiler as fighting for the sake of 1 Liter is something I'm ready to do anytime and anywhere ;-)
