Honestly, I really wish they learned what made Love Mechanic remake so good. Mark's angry power moves there were definitely the highlight for me.

the controversy), it even made I Feel You Linger in The Air popularity so low at the beginning, before finally soaring in popularity again thanks to it being amazing.

Depends, this series lowest rating is 8.9 which was down from 9.8 during it's airing like around a year ago, and it has stayed steadily in 8.9 for months. While most of other series got their rating really high from huge fanbase, this series didn't have that (Deephub , the producer, had quite a low trust as well if I remember correctly thanks to their previous series), so I can confidently say the audience of this series who rated are not isolated or weight heavily from a fanbase. Fair warning tho, those who rated are either really love this series or hate it, but general consensus without invalidating those who don't like this series, most people seems to love it.

1. It was heavily implied in the book that Sheng Wang already like Jiang Tian from that moment in balcony, and throughout their friendship, he kept dancing around the like of "close brother" because nobody would question how intimate they are if they stated they were brother.

2. Is related to the first 1, Shengwang was doing his mental gymnatic that he and Jiang Tian was only close because they were "close brother" but after the kiss, he couldn't hold himself anymore because there is still acertain line that brother couldn't cross like kissing, and Shengwang finally realize (or rather admit) that he like Jiang Tian, that's why he pulled away because he and Jiang Tian Will be brothers.

3.the book clearly stated he was not asleep, he was looking at the top bunk (Sheng Wang) after he almost kiss him.

I think you meant "after 1 minute of release" cause that seems to be the trend lately.

And I never complained about the characterizations, I think the characters were interesting. But the writing? The good "bad" guy wasn't even a bad guy, and not written in a good way. I am from literature background, so of course I took films seriously or my education would be a waste of time.

There are a lot, just click on the actor name on this page and you'll find them, and I've watched all of them, that's how much I like the two of them, but my literature background will not allow me to say those series were "good" no matter how much I like YinWar. Their company actually quite productive in producing film as well, that's the reason why I am critical of their works because I want YinWar to be in another production that is, at least, on par with Love Mechanics.

Trust me, the film speed things up CONSIDERABLY, the book had a lot of walking around. This is just musuli style of writing, very slow on the first half and then suddenly a torrent of contents in the last half.

I have a literature background, and I confidently say he had definitely planned for it to have 2 seasons from the beginning. It's even clearer when you compare both the book and the film and see what he changed, like one of the obvious one was changing He Jin from a female character to a male one so they could cast a famous actor from Taiwan hit BL Crossing the Lines (I'd even going as far to say, Crossing the Line was the it BL when it came out a long time ago, gosh I feel old)

The episodes rating has always been 9 across the board even before the director asked for us to rate it in IMDB, and besides, do you think we will rate it high if it's not that good? Some people have taste.

The other person already clarified IFYLTA air rating sitting at 8.9, which as far as I recall, had been a thing from the moment the series end (it was at 9 or something during airing). I still remember some hater commented that it'll drop to 8.4 like the cut version, so I recheck it a couple of times and it has been months and their position hasn't change a bit, not even Love For Love's Sake rating, even at their highest peak during airing, ever surpassed this rating.

I am pretty sure I dislike episode 11 (I think) like a lot. That episode is definitely a thorn in my opinion because they just suddenly rushed everything, but if you actually read the novel, the original plot was waaaaay faster than the film, and the adaptation slower every thing considerably and taking their time which I think was the best decision they made. So I can't really get mad over that one episode.

I also think the reboot is WAY better than tosara, and just as I think they are getting better, Future dropped to prove me wrong, and their production had been within similar style of "Cutesy" production with mediocre writings.

The highest rating BL is still I Feel You Linger in the Air (a totally well deserved imo), and honestly, I'll even say most BLs are still better than Jack and Joker, and it pains me to say because I really do like YinWar.

As much as i like the book and musuli, the film actually fix a lot of writing problem that the book has and the book have a lot of those in the first half, ESPECIALLY that scene where Sheng Wang almost kiss Jiang Tian.

Also, if the series was unavailable for them, what source they used to criticize the series? Their hopes and dreams? 🤣🤣🤣

I don't think new episodes could change much of anything. The problem is the writing, and the beginning is already poorly written and there are no fixing that. Even if the next episode turn out to be good, the foundation they build on is already shaky, and even a single critical observation would make the while series crumble.

I love Love Mechanic so much that when people all clamoring over kinnporsche, i was firmly believe love mechanic was way better than KP. Of course they have different theme, as well

Only the On1y one, and even then, Donqing is a Mainland actor so they have to be mindful with the promotion. Haven't you realize how tame their fanservice are in comparison to other Taiwanese BL? Other Taiwanese BL by this point already have their actors kissing in a fansign in front of a lot of people. That and coupled with Taiwanese film being considered as "Low value" by investors is why this series is struggling with funding.

you should probably just go to that Kdrama and share your opinion there. I won't because I don't watch Kdrama because they are boring. But I like YinWar since Love Mechanics and I was really excited to see them grow, but so far, every series they had been in never surpassed Love Mechanic, and Jack and Joker especially, has a very terrible writing. If they can't take valid criticism then they'll never grow because their fans kept giving them positive reinforcement even when they did bad.

As much as I love YinWar, Jack and Joker has terrible writing, and love mechanic reboot was still their best work.
