The second visual metaphor I noticed is the very symbolic hobby of Manami's father.Seiji seems to devotes all…
Oh my god, this is such a good observation ! 👏🏽 I don't usually like coming to an on going drama's mdl page that I'm watching because they're often Stressful. But I like coming to this drama's mdl page because people here are actually giving such insightful details.
I feel like we're not talking about that parents meet up scene of Manami and her fiance in ep 3 enough. So, I will right here too. The nuances in that whole sequence were so good. Manami's father shutting up her mom and then asking the fiance guy "what kind of family he wants. The fiance guy who's also misogynist, just like Manami's father, says "I want to build a happy family" That's exactly how it is often. Men while being cheaters and misogynists who insult their wives in front of everyone, think that they have created a "happy family" while the Women suffer. Perfect depiction of the irony in the scene imo. The second thing I noticed, the second time her father insults her mom and asks the mom to shut up, Camera pans to a Manami who was looking at this whole thing but immediately turns her face away. As if turning a blind to everything as usual. And that's exactly how she has lived her whole life.
I binged the 3 first episodes. I really like it. 🫶🏻It's not on Netflix here so I watch on streaming websites…
5 epsiodes are out for locals. But for International viewers, it's only netflix that's subbing it. And it started two weeks late. So, we're two weeks/episodes behind the tv broadcast
Interesting you mentioned Taiga’s mom and step dad because it’s one of my highlights from episode three. The…
Oh, you put it nicely. His mom and step did doing somewhat the same with him what he's doing with Manami. Maybe they're lying about the little brother's health to get the money for their new hair salon. Taiga is already confused. And it's lovely to see. I get mad at him but I can't help but understand his situation. Also, I think eventually he will be the one who will free Manami from the chains of expectations of her dad and society. His trap for her in a way would work as a liberation.
Liked ep 3. So many nice scenes. One of my favourite was Manami and her student talking about having similar parents and how the student won't give in to her parents' controlling nature but escape it. Then there's Manami, living her whole life without rebelling and giving in to her misogynist and controlling Dad. Loved it. I really love that writer keep highlighting these things about the leads. It makes them "individuals" before they're a "couple" A couple will always be even better if the two people have individualities. I absolutely hate her fiance. And that's why I was happy when that guy saw Manami entering the host club 🤣 yeah you deserve to see this, you scum! I can't wait to see Manami and her Mom leaving that pathetic man who's dad and a husband. I hope the mom divorces the dad. I don't understand what's going on with Taiga's mom and step dad ? Oh and I loved that pencil gift scene. Taiga can't help but pick up the pencil. Despite him telling himself that it's purely out of greed.
YES YES YES! It’s a main point in the drama. ⚠️This is gonna be long:When they are together, it feels like…
Also, when she told her dad about her going to a host club,I felt like she rather told him in a rebellious way (like her student) than with the idea of talking about what all she did today with her dad. But when her dad dismissed it as a joke, she couldn't dare to go more rebellious. That's what I thought
It was so wholesome, almost like her having taught him how to properly write his name cheered him up after what…
Need to watch Hirugao someday. I got into jdrama in 2020. Before that, I watched kdramas only. So I watched its remake kdrama. And I loved it. Though I ignore cheating dramas but that was one of the very I liked. Will definitely watch og. And yes, also, I'm glad how writer wrote FL's character "messy" when I saw trailers I thought they're gonna make her a fl with no personality other than her being a sincere and kind teacher. But wow, she's so flawed and I love it. I'm also looking forward to her dad and mom dynamic. I wonder where they will go with that kind of dad. Hopefully they will show us the mom snapping at the Misogynist dad and maybe divorcing him as well.
I will be honest, I didn't like their chemistry at all while watching trailers and all. But now I'm watching and the drama is getting better with each episode. Love how they're taking time and building their relation slowly and beautifully. Oh,I missed watching the comfort and warm JBLs
Let’s talk about the first rooftop scene 🎬:It’s just a simple teaching moment to write his name, but it…
I love reading your comments on the show. Always giving some insight. The Mirai one, I didn't notice at all. These tiny details make the drama even better
