I like the casting. I don’t like the writing of the characters. FL throughout the drama doesn’t develop positively. Throughout the show she is slapped so many times it’s unrealistic. Since in school even to adulthood, the grandma of her love interest has shown up in different places (classroom, office, events) and slaps her. Some scenes, three times and drink face splashed. Til end this was never straightened. From all these, character was never made to be stronger. She is really annoying falling all over, drunkenly stupid in many scenes, etc. I like actress Tan Song because she’s a wonderful actress but wished she didn’t sign up for this role as I can’t look forward to watching her now.
The story itself is not new. CEO is cold, with many inner struggles. Fights developing feelings for Fl. Except for eye candy, their ship never really sails. I’d never watch again but that’s just me.

Kim Joo Hyuk
I started this without knowing about Mr. Hyuk. I finished because of him; to his memory. This was very enjoyable to me. I just like the type where the male lead is cold and so different in personalities from female lead you deem it impossible for them to end up together. Here, they both disliked each other a lot.
I was conflicted because this story has a very kind hearted second female lead. I would have been okay if she ended up with male lead. I criticize the writing for making these love triangles, actually four people and they’re all so nice.
There’s plenty of annoyances. Female lead is clumsy, gets into plenty mishaps. Regardless, I looked forward to each episode. RIP to Mr. Kim Joo Hyuk. Seeing the bts scenes at last episode was bitter sweet. He is seen laughing a lot, full of life….

Don’t waste your time
Such potentials but the person writing this has got to be a very depressed person. The saving grace was the leads who were just pleasant to look at. This has the most repulsive characters that pretty much got their happy ending. When I think about the death of actor Lee Sun Kyun, this show gives an enlightenment of the toxicity of narrow mindedness and life of privilege that plagues the mindset. What horrible horrible characters. Specifically the mother daughter duo in this show. They harass, bully, threaten and openly too without repercussions. To be fair, this show also had some really nice characters. Acting was very good. Unfortunately, everything good was buried by the senseless actions of two characters. All the beautiful proses were also buried. I would find something else. You’d think after all these 122 episodes they would at least make it up in ending. Lousy and disappointing as well.

Second time around enjoyment
I actually watched this three years ago and didn’t have too big an impression, though I can’t pinpoint why exactly. Rewatching it though, I can now offer an overview as sadly, maybe not too many people gave it a chance.Age gap dramas are risky as it’s a good chance of hit or miss. In my opinion on this one, it’s a hit. WU Jin Yan, as Bai Xiao Lu, I feel acted her role exactly as scripted. She’s too curious which gets her in path of ML’s cases, but causes him heart stopping concern of course. She cares so much for him and the endangerment of his job she wants to help and even protect him, which of course causes opposite results. She’s innocent, annoying, clutzy, ditzy yet, adorably cute that Zhou Yuan, played by Guo Xiao Dong, can’t help but fall for. Chemistry was enough to make their relationship believable, which of course was the cherry on top of this undercover cop genre. Great ending.
Whatever else people may of complained about in the police stints of it, I didn’t see it. I mean there are plot holes and there are more plot holes in just about every single drama. This wasn’t perfect, some situations maybe your brain couldn’t get around. Nothing that bad you can easily improvise. OST was fine. My second rewatch. Third might be a charm but too much to see so we’ll see. Hehe. Give it a try.

Just Beautiful
There's already great detailed reviews so mine will be short. I finished 10 episodes subbed and watched rest raw because I was so mesmerized by the story. For me, I love the development of the story where we are introduced to the most precious innocent relationship of the princess and wolf boy. Their scenes on the mountain, happy go free discovery of nature, self, and adoration of friendship is just memorizing. She teaches him about love of a human to human and when he innocently puts his head on her shoulder to mimic love and she pats his head for approval, it's like my heart stopped for such a capture. The separation was to save him and that has you tearing up. Reunification was bittersweet and then from there a rollercoaster of highs and lows. All within the first ten episodes you will experience so much emotions that you won't turn away even if you wanted to; it's an incredibly moving story. The connection to our emotions is what keeps us glued in. I have never experienced anything like it so quickly with a story that though i have caught ending results, I didn't care. (I usually shut down if I know something beforehand). EVERYONE did such a remarkable job (particularly leads) I wanna thank them personally for powerfully moving me. I loved it and you will too. I've seen lots of excellent c-dramas of 2020. This one would sit with two others on top. Please watch and give this production your two thumbs up!Was this review helpful to you?

Legally and Addictively Good
I thoroughly enjoyed this drama and feel it needs more spotlight besides all that are currently given much attention. This is such an excellent written and acted legal drama.Fearless S1 was great and the way it ended had me thinking that there must be a second season. Sure enough, here it is and the three lawyer heroines are just as fearlessly confident and bold,
The dynamics of Luo Ying Zi (Rayzna Alimjan) and Qiu Hua (Chuo Ni) as senior partners is super warm. Qiu is cautious, reserved, the kind that holds back to review, while Yinzi hops on to the opportunity once she sees a green light. Their personalities are somewhat different but well balanced through their mutual respect and smarts. Xia Shu (Shen Yu Jie), the junior partner is reckless, kindhearted which puts the firm on their toes at times. She is such an integral charm of the flow that I just love her character. Episode 16…crazy girl but oh so delightful. Chen Shuo (Wang Yang) is the icing of the trio. Inconspicuously charming the affections of YinZi, he is in the background helping her. He is a charming character, whom YZ calls unscrupulous yet, she is slowly thawing in their friendly bantering.
The trio are fired from the firm that built them. The "divorce" becomes the build up of this
season that became the crescendo when the clash of wits, smarts, 'teacher vs student' battled it out in the courtroom. That was very tense and interesting.
In all, the cases of this season just as before are so interesting. You can tell that writer did a lot of research, and lots of planning. Each case humanizes life and conflicts. The one about bullying was very satisfying and in this current toxic culture of its effects, it was nicely done. What I love is that the cases are fully developed and properly closed so that when they move to the next, you don't say, "wait, what happened to". It is so well written that I don't try to pass over anything, that I feast on the subtitles to not miss any detail of the cases. I’d also like to say that editing is really good. Where each episodes end makes you eager to go to next. Like a favorite book, you have the pleasure of wetting your finger as you turn the pages and settle in to the magic of next and next.
The cast in entirety are so good, so much claps to the veteran actors/actresses and everyone. Wish i could speak on each but this will suffice. They did great!
I fear my inefficient writing does not do justice to this excellent drama so please give it a try yourself. At least stick to it for three episodes and decide. I almost guarantee you’ll be glued in.
Ending has me thinking or almost convinced that a S3 is in the works. Please watch and share what you think. Yes or No?
FYI...I watched on YT and IQIY. Give this a try. You will find a great comfort drama to enmesh in.

A tested liars love
Wow. I’m blown away by this story. Actually, i can honestly say it’s not the most original because similar stories exist. It’s the cast though that totally own the moving of the characters to life they leave you on the edge. It’s not the most gripping tale of who dun it as it became apparent when it did rather keeping the suspense to a high level til end. Still though, I felt the intensity of the torn female lead in her choosing her love or justice. He on the other hand was just as torn. So as not to spoil too much, you can watch to find out. There’s quite a lot of meaningful slice of life themes here similar to many touched in such dramas. The one that particularly had me thinking a lot is children who come under the care of someone else. Great if it’s a great fit. Unfortunately, it’s not always ideal. I couldn’t help but to identify the pain of the perpetrator as he was actually trained to turn out this way. Just sad as I’m sure of its true existence.
I know I’m vaguely writing which is why you’ll have to watch for yourself. Excellent acting by the main casts. Like I said, you will be enmeshed with the characters because they owned it. It’s a HEA but let me tell you, I could have given the directors some really good pointers of the last episode. Happy watching!

This is a fairly easy watch. It’s short, and the story is nothing too complicated. You can spin it any way you want but i keep thinking that it would be very nice if it can be easy like that. I’m talking about relationships of screen actors. As it is, this is one of the travesties of these stars. Before that, let’s go to the story first.Lead actor is very good, first time seeing him. Love his voice. I’m always drawn into his lines as he delivered his parts not only with his voice but his eyes, especially in his vulnerable scenes. It seems effortless. Female lead is not bad, but it’ll take more roles to get her more at ease and not so tense. I think finding the right pairing is difficult and it’s not like the actors don’t try, as I’m sure they do. Even if not in the role, it seems like they’re comfortable with each other so it does make it a bit more believable.
Why does it have to be so complicated? The entertainment industry is so money and competitive driven that it seems like a slave entity. That’s how I see it anyways. Stars, to keep fan base high and strong cannot be publicly seen in their personal lives. Losing fandom means losing money and popularity, and unfortunately, that is very important to the industry. Terrible though is empowering those fans to think they own these stars, causing ruckus and chaos. Why should stars give up their love of acting if such a complicated career? Heavens no we don’t want that. They give us the entertainment we enjoy. Just sad it’s this way.
It is so nice to see what normalcy can be for stars in this story. To be in public without bombardment, to enjoy normal dating like anyone else. We also see how it might be difficult for a non acting partner, especially in intimate scenes. Yeah, I’d really really really have to be understanding to get used to that.
Like I said, it’s an easy watch. Thank goodness the opposing others to female lead getting the guy weren’t toxic. It was good writing so I think it’ll be a fun watch for anyone interested.

The good and the bad
Why do we cry when watching dramas? One, we get caught up in the moment of something significant that deeply identifies to our feelings. Two, it’s connection to something relatable to our own lives, good or bad. Three, not always but we can be so frustrated at something we see that crying is a release. In saying these, there are those times you will cry in this drama. Why are we frustrated when watching dramas? Well heaps of reasons but I’ll try to stay relevant to this? One, bratty kids you feel should be put over the knees and given a good whooping. Two, if you say something as a promise, honor it even in the worst of circumstances. Three, when you hide significant things that causes misunderstandings, reevaluate your reasons and think that maybe openness is better.
Why do we enjoy a drama? When the central theme remains consistent. Friendships, bonds, family is strong here. When it gives good slice of life lessons that are relatable to audiences to use in our own lives. When it keeps you engaged.
Overall, though long, I think this drama about family and friendships made its good mark. I especially love the adults friendships that I wish I had in my own life.

Just Lovely
This is probably the first lakorn I’ve enjoyed tremendously. I have watched all the versions and they’re good…until this version which is great! I think the tweaks made from the first I watched “Fated to Love You..kdrama” is so much better. The leads here are so good. Their expressions in major lines as well as heartbreaks are so good. I’ve cried quite a bit with them. There was hardly any silly tropes but just straight on great acting. I thought the transition of FL after the breakup was gorgeous. Esther as Wanida is a beautiful actress. Love her crying scenes as they seem so natural in those circumstances. Bie as Pawut was a better characterization in this writing. I also like the depiction of the mom here. She was caring and wise. The storytelling and enactment is really good. If you like sappy loving without a whole lot of frustration (yes there but not in a way you’re gnashing your teeth), you should try this version. It’s really very good. Was this review helpful to you?

The word idiot never sounded so adorable
The leads are so cute i keep going back to this drama when finding myself in drama slouch. No one can criticize this drama to me. I like the type of stories that are creative, with characters full of charm to carry the story. Sakura, the leading character has a contagious big smile backed up by a big heart to support her career as a nurse. Tendo, the male doctor character is cold, to the point, never smiles, yet totally smitten by the baka (idiot) nurse who is Sakura. The development of their story from beginning is one of those, one in a million likely to happen, that is just too adorable from the stance that it probably wouldn’t happen in real life. That’s its appeal to me. When taken out of scope of reality, it’s a treat. Now and then fantasy based reality is welcoming. These two have such an appeal to their relationship, not so much enemy to lover, but happenstance? When he calls her baka and she lights up, it’s because she’s accustomed to it as being his language of approval. They are just too cute not to adore. Aside from that, there’s lots of substance to take away as well. It’s truly an incurable case of love. Was this review helpful to you?

Appreciation
Honestly, thanks to this show I got a glimpse into the world of talented people who plays music in an orchestra. I thought i wouldn’t like it simply because I’m not particularly interested in this type of genre. However, Lee Young Ae impressed me with her seriousness about her trade, her steely cold demeanor, and of course, her conducting. She’s mesmerizing to watch, and I appreciate the work put into the role (i read) so definitely deserves the watch. Supporting cast were great too. Overall it’s a great watch and I’m glad i did. Other reviews have great intakes on the story. Was this review helpful to you?

An underrated GEM
I see reviews from 2014 so I want a today one 2023 because it’s one not to scroll over if you come by it.I just want to say why I loved it and rated it highly according to me, and me.
I’ve watched so many kdramas in only a span of two years so by now, I know what I hope to see and what has become redundant as I find so many familiar strengths and weaknesses in these series.
This is @ family drama. What I love about it is that it fully develops what actually happens in a family. As synopsis says, it’s about an abandoned divorced woman with three daughters. It’s cute how the lead girl (2nd daughter) gets entangled with two brothers that begins the connection that will tie two families to become a dynamic big big family. Each character has their own story and writer does such a nice job developing it. Leads are just fine to me. As it is 2014, hugs and kisses are….you know. BUT, the family dynamics makes up for everything. The mother of the girls could very well be the lead. Wise and strong, her story is just as sweet. The grandparents? Oh my gosh, they are great. In this story is the the epic depiction of what endurance is in marriage commitment not only to themselves but their role as patriarchs of the family. So many beautiful moments in this series and lines to inspire and keepsake.
Another thing I liked is that there were no hangovers on problems, or antagonists to mar the storyline. Yes, decision making, obstacles that naturally comes in situations of developing relationships may seem to drag the story but it didn’t prolong. The series smoothed things over so that obstacles were resolved, with touching moments as it went along. There’s lots to like and little to overlook because it’s good.
I heard this was cut from its 60 intended episodes and I was sad as it was wrapping up. I don’t get why it wasn’t liked a lot at the time but to me it’s such well produced/written drama. Kudos to the cast. Support them and give this a watch. You won’t regret.

Ratings Disappointing for a GEM
This is actually my second time watching from two years ago via Covid. I only noticed the low ratings here so I want to give a review to add my support. We probably have our own lists of complaints about long dramas. Most common is that it got draggy, script, or producers went off skinny dipping along the way, etc. This one isn’t perfect and it has its share of eye rolling scenes (not lots). Here though is why, if it’s your first or you’re looking for a long drama.
I’m not a writer by anything close. However, based on what I would like in a story, this one is pretty good so credit heartedly to writer. It presents the background enough to entice your wanting to know the why and what. Then it slowly peels the layer to answer them. Each episode (104) packs it’s own power so that you are eager to know what happens in next. Each episode connects to what happens next. (Some dramas seems disconnected and leaves you frustrated). You’re absorbed with the characters either with heart flutter or boxing gloves. Leads faces almost the impossibility of ever getting together but theirs is one to cheer for. Children are involved that adds flavor to the story. I have yet to see a korean child actor that disappoints. The two here delivers. Warning though. There’s galore of adults that makes you question the sanity of humanity. Disappointing? Yes, but yeah they’re significant to the story. Villainess delivers to the tee I gotta give you that. In all, it’s a very well weaved connected story that all comes together for everyone to be put in its proper place.

To the point
What I liked a lot about this is that there wasn’t wasted episodes on clarifying pasts, nor present. The present (relationship) came into play for leads and it progressed beautifully. We didn’t have to worry about it happening fast then the doom to come. There’s a hiccup but resolved quickly and favorably in such a way to strengthen the leads love.Cast are great. Kim Ok Bin, I was not familiar with, but I’m a fan. Her character is great, straightforward, and bad ass, literally. Yoo Teo, main guy is the matured actor in the act that is honest and kind. His bromance with his manager and best friend played by Kim Ji Woon is the kind of friendship we crave for.
I don’t want to make this long because so many have greatly reviewed this. I’m just adding on that is a great watch. Don’t let this one pass you by. You’ll miss out.
