Solo stans reported the site because they didn't like how XZ was portrayed in a fic there resulting in the site being banned, apparently they wanted to protect him from being viewed in a certain way (I didn't know). ...then all hell broke loose when cnetizens who use and love the site started to attack ZX and his stans. I don't know how CP stans where involved apart from minding their own business and writing fics... I didn't follow the whole story but found that that's the gist of it. Please correct me if am wrong

Wasn't it solo stans that fought each other?... I mean it was solo stans that started the whole ao3 controversy with XZ and solo stans again who keep fighting over whose "better" and hate that people ship them... And solo stans AGAIN who spread rumors that WYB did XZ dirty and somehow (I don't know how) used him for fame? . Soooo I don't think it should all be blamed on couple stans.....

Actually I have been wondering about this for a while and youku just answered my burning question... I love that international fans get a different cut .. at first I didn't understand why we had to watch the censored versions as well especially on a cite that is banned in china... Am so happy that they decided to do this. Yay youku! ^‿^

I've actually picked up my mandarin lessons again.. I dropped them after I realized passing the HSK level 1 test was not such a small feat as I thought it would be.. all thanks to WOH. wow.

After I read your comment, I was trying to find any differences btwn Gu xiang/Cao Weining and ZZH/WKX cause am not really looking for skinship either, but like I commented before, I'd like an acknoledgement of love btwn our MLs, as you would have in a het drama be it periodic or not. But after comparing the two couples I find that there really isn't that much of a difference.. I've only ever watched 1 other period drama (the untamed) and if that's how other dramas portray their couples then am fine with it too.

Mmh that makes sense, well am just happy I get to see the characters come to life in live action.. and I guess censored drama's are more engaging? everyone's just so eager to find any and all hidden easter eggs...every little and small meaningful interaction means so much...which in a weird way makes them more special than actual full fledged BLs..

Aaah okay, was just feeling a little frustrated... I watched avenuex's video on upcoming adaptations and with all these amazing 'bromance' dramas coming out, it kinda sucks that they will all be censored... I have no problem if they don't show any physical intimacies.. but I'd love an acknowledgement of feelings (not the subtle kind)..

Please, Can someone who understands censorship explain this to me....since youtube is banned in china why do they still upload the censored versions on the site ... I mean why is it that on international streaming sites we get the censored versions as well,, I thought they only banned the show in China if it didn't pass censorship but that doesn't extend to other countries viewing such content right?. just like international viewers are able to watch the last 3 episodes of Addicted but C netizens are not .... Is it still breaking the law if they release uncensored versions on youtube? So basically censorship extenders to what international viewers are allowed to see Conserning China?........ I don't know it might be a dumb question but I really want to know why...

Oh wow, I hope that's true....I wish censorship would loosen up a bit and allow at least the acknowledgement of a relationship btwn the MLs of censored romance... They can ban all the physical intimacies all they want, I Don't mind at all.. But I want to witness the LOVE in all it's fluffy glory ❤❤❤❤

What's happening with the rating system... It seems like every drama has increased ratings over night...am starting to think it's a glitch

Oh you're so lucky to have someone open minded enough to watch with you :)) I tried to sell the "they're just best friends" trope but that backfired quick during that slow mo fight scene in episode 2 (that also backfired in ep3 of the untamed) No One wants to watch with me... And I mean Nobody, I wonder what everyone would do if they found out I watch Thai BL? Lol they can't even deal with chinese bromances, I am low key curious what would happen if I put Tharntype on the TV....

I can relate, no BL or non BL has made me cry and care for the characters this much...hands up to Mix and Earth for such an amazing performance, especially Mix, they really brought the characters to life... Sometimes when you watch a drama you see an actor playing a role (like in 2gether) and I expected it of Mix since this was his first job as an actor but no.... When I watch 1000 stars, it's really Tian and Phupha on the Screen, I guess the authenticity got to me.... I wish these two a very successful career,they deserve it...

But it was the people close to the victim (Torfon) who forgave him first, so how am I overlooking everyone else? ... Her aunt clearly didn't give a damn so I don't know, it seems the only people that truly cared for Torfon (her true family) forgave Tian, rightfully so... Like okay let me ask this.... What would be a satisfactory consequence for his involvement in Torfuns death?... Like really...

Edit.. I just reread your comment above.. so basically what you want is the acknowledgement of Tians wrong doing, not necessarily his punishment?

am not trying to belittle someone dying but he. Was. Not. Behind. The. Wheel. also mind you am judging this from a biased prospective because I care about Tian as a character and because of that am more inclined to favor him being forgiven... So no, I don't think we should let offenders go because they feel guilty. I love tian and don't want to see him in anymore pain than what his gone through already... I truly am ecstatic that they forgave him.. I mean My God, the guy moved to a village in the middle of nowhere, where there is no electricity and was practically living in a shade rather than the houses his used to...and he truly cares about the villagers, it's not an act and it's not for show.. his heart shines through, I can't help but recognize his change and judge him based on the person he is now than the person he was then...I would be devastated if the writers made him go through something worse..

Okay yeah, Its not survivors guilt. But Tian already feels guilty for what he had instigated ...

at the end of the day, he regrets it and has tried in his own way to make amends, he's already tortured mentally, what good would it be if he suffered more ? And that's why Phupha told him he was forgiven, at the end of the day he really didn't kill Torfun, he might have instigated the whole thing (since he thought he was dying and was not thinking straight and panicked after he lost the watch) but he was not behind the wheel and neither was it his intention to murder anyone.... He paid his dues , he knows he was wrong and that's what matters.

I love that this story is about Tian and his journey dealing with survivors guilt and learning to accept that it's okay to be happy after being given such a huge gift at a pricey cost... And this is my opinion but I think it's more realistic that they separated in ep 9, I would have been a little disappointed if Tian left his life as a student in bangkok to live with Phupha in the village, he needs to go back and sort his life out first before committing to a man at such a young age, this is why I also applaud Phuphas resilience in pushing him away, it's just...Logical. But one thing I don't understand is why they are acting as if it's the end of the road... I mean the village is still in Thailand not in the north pole, why are they acting as if Tian can't come and visit? I guess this is the part I remind myself that it's not real, that's it's just a show.

Why are people sad about it not being BL....to the point of advising others not to watch cause it's not BL. I mean I understand those that didn't like the show cause of the story, acting, chemistry and or ending but viciously judging a show cause it's not "BL" seems kinda over the top.
