Oh...OK, now you're ADDING all kinds of additional things to the mix. First you said you were depressed because one parent cheated on another. Now It's also endless divorce battles with you on the witness chair, constant screaming and fighting between your parents, physical violence against each other between your parents, and childhood beatings visited upon you as a result of one parent's anger over the other's cheating. Did I miss anything? Also you can't get therapy because you're not privileged. That's unfortunate, if any of it is true.

I told you I know all about depression, don't lecture me. I did NOT say your depression is your own fault. Nope, never said that. You said you were an asexual who is repulsed by sex and that you'll "never cheat on anyone, not even emotionally." So what the hell does that mean if you can form emotional relationships? How can you possibly know what will happen in the future? You are not some perfect saint, better than all other humans.

I asked why the hell someone who has zero interest in sex and has experienced severe trauma is doing watching BLs, which often feature aggressive and challenging, drunken sexual situations, as well as instances of cheating, both sexual and emotional. It seems like it would be a good idea for you to avoid that kind of material. Naturally, rather than answer the question you play the victim (again), claiming I am "gatekeeping" you from your entertainment choices. Furthermore, you STILL have not specified which instance in TharnType included rape. Since there was no rape in TT, I'll take that as you agreeing with me.

So you think people who cheat are all entirely "bad" people with no other positive qualities whatsoever, and you put people who have extramarital affairs on the same level with serial killers. Cheating isn't "vile." If you've really been depressed for six years I hope you are being treated for it. I know all about depression. I take meds and see a therapist regularly, but I try not to blame my depression on mistakes other people made that I am torturing myself about. That's some major self-destructive shit there.

STOP WATCHING BLs. Many of them involve challenging and intense sexual plot lines that it is clearly not a good idea for you to see. There are plenty of other types of fictional material out there for your entertainment where you won't encounter all this stuff you claim "triggers" you. Their relationship was not "obliterated," at least not in the actual story. It may have been so in your head but that's your problem, not the show's. Why is cheating a "cheap plot device?" What plot device would NOT be "cheap?" There is NO plot device that hasn't been used a million times before. It is HOW it is used that makes the story containing it new and original, and IPYTM used "cheating" in a way I've never seen before. First of all, the "cheating" was involved emotions and tongues and lips. Nobody got f**ked.

I actually DO believe that even if Jai had said yes to Teh, that it wouldn't have been long before Teh began to realize "the one" is and always was Oh. He would find himself thinking of Oh, missing Oh, wanting to talk to Oh, all of it. And he would begin to realize how much of a user and manipulator Jai was. I don't think any of that is hard to believe.

Yeah, I really loathe SOTUS and SOTUS S, even though they are the first two BLs I watched. I didn't know any better at the time, but even so, the mannequin/fake kissing and sexless, Disney-fied atmosphere of the whole thing put me off. Then I started to watch grittier, more realistic BLs and movies and I came to believe SOTUS was just that, garbage. I know lots of people love both of those shows and that's fine. I'm in a minority here and I can live with that.

Oh reading those messages, and I don't think he ever had before because he feared if he did read them that he would cave and take Teh back, was such an emotional scene; Oh seeing that Teh had accepted and admitted his fault in the Jai situation was integral to them reconciling.

Is there a reason why Teh's character development had to be "complete" by the end of this series? What makes you think Oh is through growing and changing? Their entire beach conversation was about how people change and become different over time, and they made a pact with each other to work on growing and changing TOGETHER. It was beautiful.

Your idea of love is a fairy tale fantasy. IPYTM was about young lovers maturing and growing and dealing with harsh shit that goes down in real life. And after all of that, STILL loving each other. Nothing is more beautiful than that.

Why and in what way is emotional or physical cheating or both in a relationship a "cheap" storyline? There is NO story line that has not already been told a hundred thousand times before. It is HOW you tell the story that makes for original art. Your alternate story line sounds entirely boring as hell.
